Uploaded England 2000s with their signature Test and ODI uniform.
This group of players is very familiar. What I've done here is used bases on the academy, or from previous players/teams ive downloaded and adjusted to my ratings. There are also newly created ones.
Thanks all the same to @blockerdave @gleeso73 @DalePlaysCricket @relaxedanderson @wasteyouryouth if I've used any of your bases.
So the opening pair are the two left handers in Andrew Strauss and Marcus Trescothick. This is a formidable pair if the get going.
At three is their shrewd Yorkshire captain Michael Vaughn. I don't think he is a natural number three but he is here.
At 4 is the maverick of the side, the mercurial Kevin Pietersen. He was probably my favourite batsman to watch ever, other than Mohsin Khan, Gordon Greenidge and Jeff Dujon.
At 5 is the solid Ian Bell and he is followed by the larger than life Andrew Flintoff. I'm looking forward to seeing how Flintoff performs. I sometimes think he gets a little more shine than he should because of 2005 Ashes, but if you look deeper into his stats, Dominick Cork from the 1990s is actually better!
At 7 is Gerraint Jones, and he has stiff competition from Matt Prior and Chris Read. Prior should really be the starter but I've wanted to keep the 2005 side together.
At 8 is Ashley Giles. Again Swann could take his place, but for the same reasons as Prior, I'll keep him on the bench. At 9 is Steve Harmison, who will also open the bowling. At 10 is Simon Jones, whose daddy Jeff is in the 1960s squad. At 11 is Matt Hoggard who will also open the bowling. Hoggard has a stiff defence.
At 12 is Paul Collingwood MBE. For one day games, he should lead the side. Besides Swann and Prior, I've placed Jonathan Trott in. Trott really came into the test team in 2009 so he could go into 2010s squad as could Swann and Prior. However Trott' career was brief and by 2013 he was out Its easy to see why England became the number 1 Test team, as Anderson, Broad, Plunkett, and Cook also made their debuts in the 2000s, but they are saved for the 2010 squad.
The remaining squad players are, the unlucky Mark Butcher. Tim Bresnan, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, T20 specialist Jeremy Snape, Alex Tudor, Rob Key, Graham Onions, Chris Tremlett, Gareth Batty, Ravi Bopara, Chris Read, Saj Mahmood and the immortal Monty Panesar!
Thanks to the kit, logo, bat, stadium, makers!
Enjoy!
