Why sign Lendl Simmons ? The best replacement option would have been a good cricketing head like Mahela Jayawardena

That shouldn't have done like a swap deal. CSK were not looking interested in Smith at the beginning of his bid. Later sometime they involved and won the bid. At the auctions Neeta Ambai and her son both were quite hurried and interested to win Mussey's bid. Worse deal so far for us in 7 editions of IPL history. Maxwell and Smith - Worse drops so far.

just a suggestion which I think wont be ever implemented.Why try Pollard to open? that would be some big hitting power in the top and if it clicks then perhaps Anderson could do the finishing job as he would have a foundation to play on.

Never seen Pollard's innings? He plays ultra defensive in beginning and suddenly converts to a** kicker in late stages

EDIT: I don't think he would make any difference at top the order or opening spot. Like some says Dhoni should come at 4 but he avoid doing that and get some quick runs in last stages with some long hits. Pollard is best finisher and only one good finisher in MI squad this season. Well Ben Dunk is fine opener it seems. He was trying to hook the ball, clear the ball through in-circle fielders unlike Mussey who always threw the ball in fielders' hands.

Praveen for Zaheer,well I am not sure it would do good for MI but there is no good replacement I can propose too.Anyway that would add experience for sure.
