Hi there i just thought i would right a story of my middlesex game in icc3. I have already played a season so i can't really go into that much detail. Long story short is that I had Chaminda Vaas and Murali Karthik as my overseas players and i did not sign any players, youth or domestic, in the pre-season. We won the Challenge Trophy and the Twenty20 cup, Thanks to everyone contributing with the bat and very good bowling performances from young Steven Finn who took 15 wickets at an average of 16. In the challende trophy Eoin Morgan and Ed Smith consistently setting up the innings with good opening partnerships. In the County Championship we came 5th in the second division. Ed Smith and Eoin Morgan again put on big opening partnerships but the only person who would go on after that would be Nick Compton who made 1470 runs. Ed Joyce and Owais Shah also made 1000 runs in the season but Ed Joyce made 0 hundreds. In the pro league we finished 5th in division 2 which is disappointing after our other one day success. Updates to come and will post screenshots of second season.

Second Season

Middlesexsecondseasonoverview.jpg

A much better second season for Middlesex as they gained promotion in both the county championship and the pro40 league. We also defended the Challenge Trophy and although we did not get into the final of the twenty20 cup we were unlucky to go out in the semis. My overseas players were Shahid Afridi and Glenn McGrath. Sorry about the bad quality of the picture.

Here is the summary of the second season and as you can see Shahid Afridi destroyed the County Championship seond division batting line-ups with his quick breaks. Ed smith was the dominating Batsmen for Middlesex as he nearly had the highest score loosing out by one run.

Here is the Youth Player that I signed. He didn't really have a good average but his wage was high so i signed him. He had a pretty good start to his career with solid averages in both one day and first class games.

Here is the Best bowler of the year for Middlesex and also it looks like he was the best bowler in the county. With 124 wickets at 18 and also he made some handy runs for us and took the game away from the opposition in some games.

Middlesexsecondseasonbestbatsmen.jpg

Here is our Best Batsmen with 1373 runs with a good average. he has been a very solid performer at the start of the innings and made plenty of big hundreds for us. Him and Eoin Morgan still got us off to a good start in the one dayers as we notched up 400 in a game in the challenge trophy.

Here is the round up of the second season and at the end of it I was offered the England job, which I took, and we are off to South Africe in december for a challenging tour. I signed 2 youth players a batsmen and a bowler and I kept shahid Afridi as my overseas player.

More to come please tell me what you think.
