Online Cricket Games Owned
Hi guys, I am new to this forum and the reason of this post is that I am planning to work on a Cricket game development that will mostly be aiming for gameplay but also on descent graphics. I know there have been projects here that have died out like The Art of Cricket but I don't want this to go to waste if it every reaches as far as some other projects. I am a student in USA of a computer engineering major and I love programming and cricket :D I am also a die hard fan of cricket games so now I know alot of Java programming and for past couple of weeks, I am learning how to use the free game engine for Java language called JMonkeyEngine which can be found here at: jMonkeyEngine.org - jMonkeyEngine Community
I have learned most of the basics and I am pretty sure I can get the stadium and players set up on the field so far. The tutorials offered on the website are very good and once you go through them 2 or 3 times, you will be ready in no time.

I haven't started anything yet to clear any excitness but I am very very interested in developing a cricket game purely in Java. This game engine has the capability of a good gameplay and also graphics. I just want to know right now how many people are willing to help out in this project. There will be no fund needed for this project as this is a free game engine. The only thing needed here is the will to produce a good cricket game. Right now I have summer break so I have alot of time for this but when the semester starts, i will be busy but that doesn't mean I won't work on the game. I will deffinately put in atleast an hour each day towards this project. So I just want to know how many people are willing to contribute to this project before this even starts.

I'm not really good at this stuff, that's why I won't help but good luck man :thumbs

Are you saying that you will create a cricket game

that's going to take a long long time, if only someone just continue the work on the Art of Cricket.

^^They might be working on it already. You never know.

@OP: I would suggest you rather help Kurt (developer of "Cricket Heroes") in whatever way you can, instead of starting from scratch. That game is coming along really nicely.

i think u cn use dead deer....(google it) for making the 3d cricket games as i am also trying to do same thing................ :rolleyes :cheers
