New Feature - Change your own username

If you try then we will change your username to "I'mAPoo" and then not let you change it ever again

@MattW, i wants to change my user name to Muzammil but it says that name must be unique, and when i searches then there is no such member with this name, maybe he was banned permanently and then his account was deleted or so. But i want this name as this name is unique and who already has it of no use because his account may has been deleted

So would half a dozen other Muzammils on the forum.

Their account isn't deleted, regular users simply can't see users who have been banned in certain circumstances. Letting them continue to use their old accounts assists with our multiple account detection.

Things should hopefully settle down now; its natural that when you get a new feature like this you'll get a bit of a rush and then things will calm down a bit

'Change Username' is an option under the menu with your current name on it (left of the Inbox menu).

I keep getting an error trying to change my name to "MattW" ...I've already tried "MattBigAnt" "MattRoss" and "MattWHugeUn" but they all give me errors? Am I doomed forever to be Biggs?

That can't be the reason - Matt wil let you that but I am sure sharing the same internet connection won't do anything.
