The quitting problem is not even going to be addressed in the patch from what I can gather. This is the only game I know of that does not record wins and losses in a sports match online.

Like many of the bugs, it's difficult to comprehend how they were missed in the first place.

Yeah and I realise now that he's involved with the testing (I think) so would explain a lot. Anyway I hope you guys end up getting value for money from the game with a patch that resolves all the issues.

who dutch naaaaaa you really think so hmmmmm thats news i am sure colin, steve, abha, and admin and stuff people must be testing the patch but dutch !!! anyways i dont really expact them to resolve ALL OF THE ISSUES buddy, i dont think that would be very practical. but we have some good things comming up our way!!! the ashes patch, CR, are of cricket. wow will busy haaa

To Captain OZ; if you read all the posts I have made on these forums you will see that I have consistently said the same thing over and over again. Yes I had a humorous dig at Transmission and Codemasters but also had a dig at ourselves who visit these forums. If you read my postings it was very clear that this was the case. I even went so far to get in touch with Rob to explain to him that it was all meant to be good fun.

He was completely okay with that and we had a genuinely friendly conversation about things. Never have I accused people of being lying sh*t or trash or moneygrabbers etcetera, etcetera. Those are the things that people have expressed on these forums. That crosses a line most definitely in my book.

I feel vindicated in my assumption as to the virtues and motives of the developers and will not apologise for that at all.

I am not wanting to start an argument with you, just expressing my opinion once again as you have expressed yours. Long live the freedom of opinion! Long live forums!

Hmmm me too mate, but I have to say, it?s very peaceful when you don?t have English barmyarmy abusing every one in the field (including English players) good guys at AUS shouting NO Ball every time murali comes in to ball. WI and Lankan bands. IND PAK noisy supporters. Its nice without all that hehehhe

Tiger Woods10 has had multiple changes to its online structure since release, every week its updated with new rules, changes, critieria, diffculty etc etc?they can limit the golfer abilities online ? like attribute capping for online only etc etc ? so I would assume, the same can be done for other games, unless of course they have cornered the online part into a submission
If that?s the case, and there is actually no difference in a ranked or unranked game when someone quits, for the entire release of this game ? it?s a total debacle
I cannot for the life of me, in SPORTS TITLE, justify that a ranked match can be exited without some sort of protocol.
There is meant to be a difference in ranked and unranked and I reckon ashes2009 is the only game that doesn?t reflect this, yet give us the option to pick either type.
Transmission and codies are bloody hopeless if this is not addressed, I don?t care how good the rest of the game is when the fundamentals of the criteria of a match are ignored, which is simple bloody video game programming. ? quit = loss, is as easy to programm as heads = heads, and tails = tails.
Its just not cricket, when the other team can walk off the field unpunished ? Just ask the ICC, Darrrell Hair and the Pakistani Team?or is this incident the model the online portion of this game is based on.

Once again, I am against the abuse of any of the consumers on the forum. I just suspect a conflict of interest in some which can introduce bias. That's my choice to sense that suspicion and voice it, and long live choice

i guess its better to know whats changed after we receive it..!
not all what codies promised has come true..

Most of the big bugs were unlikely to have been missed before release. However, there is a huge difference between finding a bug, and fixing it to a satisfactory level. It's not a simple process by any means.

I think those of us who were cynical regarding a patch were only reflecting our experience with the videogames market. I can assure all of you that Codemasters have had a fair amount of my money over the years as have many other publishers and not all have provided the kind of support for their product that one could hope for. One thing I'm sure of, is that there would not have been a patch if there hadn't been people complaining about the game. In the current economic climate companies need to respond to their customers if they wish to retain them. This in some cases may be a hard lesson for videogame publishers to take on board.
I've been visiting many different forums for many years and I agree that this is one of the friendliest I know, almost no flaming and no trolls.
So well done to the members and mods for making this a nice place to visit.
