New Server Issues Thread

PC as become super duper fast

Occasionally, I still get the 'looking up server at planetcricket' message. I'm running latest version of Firefox.

The server is blocking IPs or something. At home I cannot access PC on my wifi on any computer or through my iphone. However if I use my phones signal i can connect so its blocking my ip. Just get that server is loading thing, so to visit the website ive been having to use a proxy which isnt good at all. Ive had this problem for the last month and had assumed the site was gone for good till i checked on my phone.

Then it certainly can't be an issue on our end. For the IPs we do block, you'd still be a able to visit the site, just wouldn't be able to make account/log in.

Nothing I can suggest to fix it beyond the same things I've mentioned on page 5.

Nothing has changed at my end at all. Suggesting the problem is your end, the fact my iphone with no software which would prevent anything isnt working suggests its not a software thing. Im growing ever tired of using a proxy to view the site so guess my only real option is to give up using the site as I cant even log in on a proxy anyway.

Not a very big problem but, when I try to open vbookie through 'Extra' tab I get a database error.

You should follow Matt's instructions on the previous page, but just so you know, the HideMyAss proxy allows you to log in. Whether you want to enter your log-in details into a proxy server is another decision entirely.

Can you post a screenie?
A screenshot won't help. You would need to post (or preferably PM) the source of the page so we can get the actual database error - it is View -> Page Source in Firefox, and in the Tools menu in IE8.

Do other people get 'looking up planetcricket' when trying to log onto the site (any part of it) before logging on? It's fine after refreshing, but I was wondering if others are experiencing that issue.
