Story New Zealand - A Force To Be Reckoned With [NZ's 2014/15 Player Profiles COMPLETE]

Yeah, great idea and even better writing. Nice presentation also...
I played against Anthony Hammond two years ago (2008) at Under 19 level. He was the star of the show, scoring a triple century and two double centuries, as well as an unbeaten fifty- so no surprises he's made the Black Caps now! :p
Kane Williamson must be in the middle order as well- he really is a star.

New Zealand Player Profiles - Part Two

Player's who represented New Zealand in a decent amount of games, over the past 2013/14 season.

Middle Order Batsmen

Daniel Flynn - Age 28

Batting Statistics

Daniel Flynn is very much a test match specialist, what he has failed to do in the one-day game, he has managed to do in the longer version.
He's currently sitting on 49 test matches played, with an impressive average for a New Zealand number three of 39.
Still young at 28 years of age, he should have a good five years ahead of him in the white shirt.

Jesse Ryder - Age 29

Batting Statistics

Big Jesse Ryder has made a name for himself on the field in all three formats of the game, as well as off the field.
In test match cricket he has compiled a very healthy record of 3000 tests match runs, in a tad under 50 matches.
Similarly in one-day cricket he's one of the world's best batsmen, averaging an outstanding 43. The one thing he would like to work on is his terrible 50 to 100 conversion rate, which currently just sits at 11 percent.
Again Jesse Ryder's probably got another five or so years in both the white and black shirts, he'll be looking to make full use of all his opportunity.

Bowling Statistics

Jesse Ryder has mainly just been used a a fifth or sixth bowler in bowler, in both tests and one-day internationals.
He's very inconsistent, but on his day can be very very useful.

Ross Taylor - Age 30

Batting Statistics

Several years ago Ross Taylor's potential was at a maximum, and still several seasons later he is still yet to convert all of that onto the park.
In test matches he has struggled with consistency, only averaging in the mid thirties, but still has seven hundreds.
He has now played almost 150 one-day international matches, and an average of just 36 is really below where it should be for a number four.
This will be a big session for him, as if he doesn't perform, he could find himself out of a consistent place in the side.

Kane Williamson - Age 23

Batting Statistics

Youth, energetic, talent, and potential are all words that can be used to describe Kane Williamson.
The now 23 year old has made his way up through all the New Zealand youth sides, and at such a young age has already played over 75 international matches.
In test cricket he's still trying to cement a permanent place in the side. Going in and out has not really helped, but when your not putting the numbers on the board, that's always going to be a problem.
His one-day cricket has been much more of a success. He flouts all round the order, but where ever he bats he seems to make a contribution.
Still very young for someone with good international experience, he has a great future ahead of him.

Bowling Statistics

Kane Williamson is very much a partnership breaker.
His economy rate in both formats shows you why he's not a frontline bowler, but his average shows you that he does take crucial wickets.

All-Rounders Are Coming...

Another solid update. Good to see Flynn has a bright future after all. UNfortunately Taylor hasnt been as succesful as I thought but Williamson looks yet to reach to his potential. Ryder looks to be the middle order giant. Any of his offield incidents we should know about :D

Superb!!!
But pleaseeeeeeeeeee tell us about Jesse Ryder's off-field activities as well.:)

Just to name a couple of instances:

* In 2010, he was caught in a South African strip club, early in the morning. Although this wasn't a serious incident, it did go against the teams code of conduct.

* And in 2013, he was caught stiring trouble at four in the morning, in an Indian bar. New Zealand management said had been provoked by an unnamed Bollywood star.

* Last year it was also announced that, he had been taken into custody sometime over the past few seasons. In the police's statement, they said he had gotten into a punch up with an unnamed fellow cricketer.
