Gazza Fired, Bay of Plenty docked six points
An amazing turn of events has seen the Bay of Plenty Blondes manager Gazza fired, as well as his former team docked six competition points.
This opens up a path for the Auckland Aces to move into the play-offs, and leave the Blondes with the Northern Conference wooden spoon.
A Bay of Plenty player had this to say in a statement, "Gazza is unreliable, he rarely tells us our playing XI, and he rarely give us any post match feedback".
Reasons surrounding the points deduction are still unclear, the now manager-less Blondes no longer qualified for the play-offs, but a points deduction putting the Aces into third place was a surprise move by the NZPL.
Also match fixing allegations have erupted over yesterday and today's game, after the Blondes deliberately played a much weaker team against the Aces and Magpies, but still managed to come out on top on both occasions.
More will surely surface on this matter over the next couple of days, but at the moment you can safely say that this decision has hugely benefited the Aces, and will put a very negative vibe in the Blondes camp for next season.

Yesterday I just read that I'd warned him back in round three that if he didn't post his playing XI again he'd be sacked, and he hasn't posted it two or three times since then.
That's what prompted this announcement, and I'm not going to get a new BOP manager to come in and manage them straight from the play-offs.

I'll open up a thread in the social group about season four discussion soon.
Is what happened last season was I made some players leave their clubs that didn't receive enough game time, e.g. Bravo only played 3/20 games last season for Canterbury so I made him leave.
At this stage you could also release players, then we had a small draft to fill up the remaining spots in all the teams, with the lower placed teams (like your team this season) getting the first draft picks.
Then after that we had a regulation transfer window...
Some people weren't too happy with this mid-season transfer system, so today or tomorrow I'll open up a thread in the social group on this and other issues (format etc.) for next season.

I should be able to get it all over with in a week and a bit, like I've already received both playing XI's for game one of the northern conference play-off series, so that match should be posted later today.
