While in the Northern Conference it was a lot tighter, so those in that group would be grateful that it's the top three who qualify.
As I said before I done it so more teams get to stay in the competition for longer.
Looking back on it now it was probably the wrong thing to do, but it's very hard to predict that two teams in one group are going to be miles ahead of the other two.

Got ourselfs in a tough position early on, but Clarke and AB batted the tough part of the innings and then stabalized the ship. After Clakes departure, AB picked up things and played aggresively from there. Styris and Symonds guided us to a competitive total with their late-order runs although they should have probably gotten to a better than run a ball rate
Bond was fantastic. Knowing their batting lineup, he was gonna feel the pressure ofv taking them out early and he did so in style. Cobras really could never recover Hopefully we can end the finals series in the next game! What a turnaround!

Oh Yes!! What a combeback!! Fantastic bowling by the lads to knock-out one of the better batting teams of the tournament! Its was Bond last time, and Aamir and Wagner this time!! Aamir got us of to a flyer start taking their top 2, and these wickets were extremely crucial for us. And their middle order couldnt really handle the heat. I think Cobras depend hugely on their trio internationals and when we have kept them quiet, the rest of the team havent responded.
They fought back hard, and the game looked even, until the Styris-AB partnership. The duo took the game away from the Cobras and despite some heart-stopping moments Cumming and McGlashan took the game away from them!!
Fantastic to be part of the semis now, do we play the extra playoff game or not? Pretty pleased with the how the season's turned out for us in the end, feel for the Cobras, they were the better team in the tournament but choked in the semis

No, it's a Conference Championship Series. The winner of the series will be first in the Southern Conference.
Then you will play off with the winner of the Northern Conference, in a Grand Final Series.
