New Zealand Premier League XIII

I answer this question every season with the same answer.

Firstly there are NO good T20 sims, secondly when I ran a T20 competition in season one (I think this was the first ever league to have two formats in one season) there was very little activity and NO interest in it, at the end of it everyone said it was just a waste of time and they wanted to get into the 50 over stuff, and lastly there is so much luck involved, we might as well just roll a die and to find out the T20 champions.

conversely; what about a First-Class tournament instead of the 50 over one at some point?

I don't want to have too many play-off games, as then others not involved in the play-offs will lose interest. Your idea is what I did in season three, but then due to some complaints I made the appropriate changes for season four.

fair enough.

I don't know, it's just that it'll involve making up a whole new rooster that I don't really have time for ATM.
I'd much rather two 50 over seasons, compared with one 50 over season and one FC season.
FC cricket isn't really exhibition style, ATM I think 50 over cricket is fine.

Why would you have to create a new roster? Couldn't you just change a few values based on whether people are better at FC/OD and leave the rest?

No, becuase the FC cricksim simulator is all tweaked up, they score at like two an over and most of the matches are draws, so to make it realistic I would have to up most peoples batting averages.
Also there are players like McIntosh etc.

Last season was just perfect.. But just one thing no 2 semis... Only 1 Semi-Final and do not make compulsory for 1 player at least playing a warm-up.

We should be allowed to post players for semi's no compulsion

Like no compulsion that play 6 nz compulsory in warm ups only,

What?

@ Callum

Yea that sim is pretty terrible for FC matches.

I love the idea of a finals 'series', this way the better team generally goes through.
And I definately prefer 50/50 matches over 20/20 for the record, as the 50 over matches are generally more realistic.

Haha rooster. :laugh (sorry for pointing out an innocent mistake, but It made me lol)

I meant do not keep any restriction in Friendlies over minimum newzealanders and maximum foreign

True. They either score really really slow, or they score too fast and score A LOT of fours.

You'll still only be able to play a maximum of five international players, but you'll not need to play any player who played in at least seven season four matches in your two practice matches.

For example with you, you'll be able to rest all your big players and try out all your lesser players in two practice matches.
