Kind of.

The captain doesn't actually do anything.
If you want you can name someone to be your captain, then name someone else to captain all your games.

So I could name player X to be my captain, and he can play in all the games, and then when I name my team I can put player Y else as captain, but as the captain doesn't do anything it doesn't really matter.

So yeah, you can do that, but on the first post the "c" will be next to your player who can play in all your games.

AB's the best player in the squad and hence i'd ideally want him to play all the games but having him as the skipper may seem a bit odd.
So,Kevin Pietersen will lead the side but AB will play all the games.

Ok, so AB is your skipper for now, but when it starts you can change your skipper to KP, but the power of being able to play in all of your games will stay with AB.
