There's always the midpoint, you know.

I know, but with a midpoint it means that I'll have to have conferences, i.e. you verse half the teams once and half the teams twice which I've done in the past, but I don't want to do that this time around.

14 rounds is too long for me in terms of simming matches, it'll just get too repetitive.

It'll be a single round robin (seven matches), then I'll split the teams up into two pools to play three more matches each, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to split the teams up.
