New Zealand Premier League XIII

Just notice his stats over the past few years though. I'll tell you them in a second.

My 2 picks are Corey Anderson (as I need a PT bowler) and Jimmy Anderson.

Michael Papps and Muttiah Muralitharan

Why on earth is Murili still available?

LOL, what the hell. I was gonna pick Murali, but I assumed he'd been taken.

Ah well, he isn't great now anyway.

Considering his averages and experience there's not many better bowlers around. His form's been a little poor last year but he faced tough sides in very batter friendly conditions. Still the best test spinner in the world and probably second best ODI one.

@ irrotev, Are you an idiot or something.

Vettori, Hauritz and Swann are all better than Murili now, in Tests and Vettori and Hauritz are both better than him in ODI's since Swann doesn't play many ODI's.

You only gave him 4 games. He went at 4.4 an over which isn't too bad and got 4 wickets. I thought you shoulda given him more of a chance. Would rather play him over Malinga. I'm willing to trade him btw.

And no, i'm not an idiot. Hauritz and Swann are newish. Batsmen aren't quite used to them yet. In a years time they'll both be very average. They'll get the Panesar syndrome. One minute he's being hyped up being called the best spinner England have ever had, then a few months later he's hopeless, dropped and forgotten about. Swann and Hauritz have a long way to go to achieve anything near what Murili and Vettori have. They're both veterans. Shakib is another spinner about to take a hammering. Mendis did. Once batsmen have footage and have faced these bowlers a little they have them worked out. It's the special ones like Murili and Vettori who are constantly hard to play which are dangerous. Maybe Swann or Hauritz will come out of their form slumps well, we'll see.

Also would like to point out that Murili had to bowl on some disgusting pitches in India and even at home. Absolute roads.

Thanks for all the picks guys.

nz0003 is up with two New Zealand picks, and one international pick...

I'm leaning towards not allowing people to use vCash in the transfer window.
The main reason I don't want this happening is, I don't want to unbalance the teams.
I was only going to allow it if an overwhelming amount of the owners wanted it, which isn't the case.
I realise the only way you are going to get x player is, by offering a large sum of vCash.
I'll also point out that at the beginning of last season, everyone got at least one of their top two New Zealanders they wanted.

I'll use BKB as an example, if he doesn't mind:

From what I understand, he want's to use vCash to pick up McCullum on top of Bond.
Last season they were two out of three of the most in-demand New Zealands (along with Vettori), so rightfully this shouldn't happen.

I hope you guys understand where I'm coming from, and IMO it's for the best of the league.

Also as I have understood from some of your posts (BKB and hedger), a few of you are unhappy with the way I'm running the current mid-season draft/transfer window.
Therefore at the end of the next season, I'll probably change how it's done.
I know it's a long way down the track, but I'd just though I'd inform you of that as a few of you haven't been too happy.
