NFL 2008 Season

yay giants I've been supporting you all year, through thick and thin :p

What a game that was.

After a bit of persuasion (along with some beer) i decided to stay up and watched it.

I was thinking before it that pats were most definatly going to make it 19-0. But i was wrong. I wanted Pats to win but oh well.

For me, the defensive of the pats was shocking, which led to Brady being sacked a couple of times in the game, however i dont think he had the best of games. Maroney was great again for the pats, however i must say Eli deserved the MVP award.

Any way, im gutted. But Enjoy the win Giants, The saints are coming for you next season! :hpraise

GIANTS!! WOO!!!!

My god, that 32-yard pass to Tyree was absolutely incredible. Eli was about to be sacked and he managed to slip away at the last moment somehow and just heaved the ball up and for Tyree to manage to bring it down with two defenders around him was just stunning. I think the Giants deserved to win just because of that play. It typified their entire season.

Couldn't agree more with that last part. I was absolutely stunned when I saw that play.

When I heard the score today I couldn't believe it. Awesome game I hear and capped off a brilliant NFL season with the underdogs winning. I think that New England had to much pressure on them to win and was not all that surprising that they buckled at the final hurdle.

^^^ I saw that play also and I agree with your comments about it. Eli Manning just fought so hard to keep the dream alive and definitely deserved MVP.

Congrats to the Giants!

Oh well, im over the dissapointment of not seeing the Pats become 19-0.

But as much as i dislike the giants that 42 yard pass was brilliant.

New Orleans Saints next season! :D

Enough said.

Nope, they were three out of three in the Superbowl before this, in the Brady/Belichick era. The credit for the Giants win goes to their defensive line and the fact that they hurried Brady or knocked him down on almost every other pass play. Eli was also pretty magnificent in the last two and a half minutes.

Yep, that's how much they won those Super Bowl games by too. It was more down to luck then anything.

And for the record, this was the biggest choke in Super Bowl history imo.

Right, Brady driving down the field with 1:30 left with no timeouts against the heavily favored Rams was all luck and getting them within field goal range with less than a minute left against the Panthers was luck too. The Patriots were up comfortably by ten points in the fourth quarter in the game against the Eagles. The Eagles managed to make it close by scoring a TD towards the end, but it wasn't as close as the score suggested. Brady has been amazing in the Super Bowls he's played in before this one. That's why it goes back to the unbelievable effort from the Giants' D-line. They didn't allow him the opportunity to sit back in the pocket and do his thing and when he did manage to make something happen, Eli and their offense played out of their skins to get the game-winning TD.

They should've never been in Super Bowl XXXVI in the first place. Plus they probably cheated in the game anyways. You play that game another 99 times, and the Rams' win everyone.

They were the better team in Super Bowl XXXVIII yes, but they still only won by a late second field goal. If you don't think there's some luck in winning by 3 points with a late field goal, then you're thick.

Ten points is not comfortable at all. Eagles stuffed that game up, and they got the ball back in like 30 senonds left at the end.

By the way,
