No Active Mod for Most Spammed forum

I don't think I have to name that forum as we all know quite well. There is no active mod for C07 forum due to which spamming is increasing day by day and the forum quality is going down. There is only 1 mod (surendar) for C07 forum who hasn't come on PC for 18 days and isn't active either so he don't have time to check forum. Although I dont care about it as I don't visit C07 forum but due to this all the new members who dont know the rules are spamming in all other forums also.

Due to this someone send me today 7 PM's of same topic about C07 :doh

Hope mods something do about this and appoint a active mod for C07 forum.

It isn't spammed but still the competitons like SOTM and all are not active.

When most of the genral chat (bollywood, ladies. faltu chat, etc) threads have no new post, we go on clicking in the threads which have new replies, this is how we get to know the spam posts, i suppose.

The point is, if you can find the time to complain about a spam post, then you have the time to help by reporting posts. The most unhelpful thing to do is try and take things into your own hands, it doesn't help new members to be just attacked from 5 different people about posting in the wrong place, seeing a bit of spam around is nothing compared to some of the responses people get just for asking questions in that forum.

We don't want to be over-moderating the forum, it isn't healthy for discussion*. Excessive spam needs to be stopped, but if we start thinking people need to be writing essays in every post to avoid being called spammers, then the forum will become even quieter than it is.

Try responding to someone you think is spamming by just answering their question, if there's anything I've learnt in many years using forums, is that if you aren't repeating yourself over and over, then you just aren't contributing enough.

* And before someone says something, yes, we get this balance wrong occasionally, and there are certainly times when we do need to over-moderate, I'd just rather a) we didn't and b) we didn't have to.

101% True and I agree with it. You can't set too many rules otherwise people will not post anything because they'll think they might be banned and won't be able to download stuff.

Just check out the Infraction/Reported post section in the hidden section, more than the people who have complained here, me quietly have reported tons of post and the very next minute the post is dealt with accordingly. You asked how we come to know about this spam post etc i answered it, that's it.

So you think txt spk, plagiarism, meaningless posts, bumping old threads without any use, posting too many smileys etc are just for fun and doesn't include in spamming?
