Absolutely correct. I totally agree with you on that. I think this is a big disappointment that such a basic shot is not included.

As I said on another forum I think people should wait for the demo before flaming the game. If you play the demo and still feel that the game is unrealistic and flawed then "flame" away.

Oh my god, no advance shot option. Guys let me tell my secret. I have beaten all the records in the No AI patch Cricket 2004 and I did most of it with Advance shot. Without it I am done for. won't even look at the game.
even the site of a batsman coming down the track and hoicking one for six is absolute eye-candy.

to walk down the pitch and smash the crap out of the ball, well thats what i used it for in Cricket 2004...it's stupid, nearly always a 6 if u do it :

its not that bad. i didn't really use the advance option.

I know, I actually learned to use the advance shot only after i became master at other shots and in fact ended up scoring 750 runs in 50 overs hard mode without using the advance shot. Now that I have practiced and learned this shot well, I like playing with it often.

Yeah But it also works well against pace bowlers if practiced properly. Of course I am talking about Hard Mode not Medium Difficulty batting.

Oh u remember, thanks man. I am not boasting of myself, but yeah just wanted to let everyone know how did I do it. Because honestly I am still holding all the records and most of them can only be equalled.
