I was actually referring to the old PC, despite mentioning the new one. I don't mean the device manager, I mean if I go into the sound and audio panel in CP, it shows nothing up. Still, I probably won't have time to go on the new PC for a week or so.

Ahk. Well my point still stands, I think. The sound and audio panel is in reference to the actual hardware installed in your computer (aka the sound card). Unless you have your speakers connected through USB or Bluetooth, I'd think that the devices installed should be your soundcard, since you'd just be plugging your speakers into your soundcard. That said, if there are no devices listed there, then that's probably an issue.
