A suggestion, @Rebel2k18 can we have a simulation league of the XIs we end up with to compete among ourselves? or @VC the slogger ?

To everyone, I am going to post this one last time. Do not copy paste content from other sites over here. Write up on your own. It is not too difficult. If you want you can just post the stats and a pic. Writing is not a compulsion but it just adds to the draft and hence it is enjoyable only if it is your own.

I have that in my mind already. If VC wants he can sim.

Could be manageable if the 10 teams are split into two groups of 5 each, which makes 5 rounds followed by knockouts, yada yada yada.. I don't keep any of my leagues longer than that these days.

Abdur Razzak

Abdur Razzak who bowled left-arm orthodox is Bangladesh's greatest bowlers ever to produce. He became the first Bangladeshi to reach 200 ODI wickets. He picked up a total of 279 wickets in his International Career.

Razzak represented Bangladesh in 2007 and 2011 World Cups. He played in 15 World Cup games and picked up a total of 20 wickets. His stand down performances include his 3/28 against India in 2007 WC. Where India was blown away for just 191. Resulted in a 5 wickets victory for Bangladesh. In that same WC, Razzak putted up another stellar performance when South Africa was chasing 252 and were restricted to 184. Razzak's brilliance, 3/25.

Razzak had an eye-catching WC record with the bowl. Beware of his slow orthodox!

I am happy with that. Just make sure the players are rated on their overall WC stats only.

He has about 3 and a half hours to do so. If he doesn't till then, the next person in line can go ahead.

Tamim Iqbal

The explosive left hander joins Matthew Hayden at the top of the batting order.
Tamim announced himself to the cricketing world as a 17-year old in the 2007 World Cup, hitting 51 against India in a win for his team, and shockingly knocking the Asian heavyweights out of the tournament. He scored an aggressive 70 in his next World Cup match against India in 2011, followed by a good 44 against Ireland and a crucial 38 that resulted in Bangladesh defeating England for the first time. His highest World Cup score came against Scotland in 2015, when he hit 95.
Tamim's aggresive approach, coupled with Matthew Hayden's explosiveness, will not make anyone envy whoever bowls to them at the start of the innings.

Minhajul Abedin

Bangladesh's most prolific all-round player from their ICC Trophy (what the ICC World Cup qualifiers were called before 2009) days, where he was both their top run-scorer with 761 runs at 31.70 and leading wicket-taker with 38 wickets at 16.92 from 30 matches between 1986 and 1997. Despite this, he underachieved greatly at ODI level for a good 13 years from his debut in 1986 (which incidentally was Bangladesh's ODI debut as well) until the 1999 World Cup, averaging just 14.22 with the bat and 44.88 with the ball as of 1998. He finally set the record straight in the 1999 World Cup in what proved to be his swansong as an international player with half-centuries against Scotland and eventual champions Australia to finish the tournament with 140 runs at an average of 70, whilst also picking 4 wickets at 26.75 from 4 matches with his useful offbreaks.

In the end, the difference between his ODI career (18.87) and World Cup career (70.00) batting averages was a staggering 51.13. His country pulled off a sensational upset over Pakistan in the same tournament and would be rewarded with Test status the very next year. One can't ask for a better finish to a cricketing career.

Rubel Hossain

With his slinging action and burst of pace, Rubel Hossain has added a new dimension to the Bangladeshi bowling attack which in recent times has become the domain of spinners. The right-arm seamer who arrived on the domestic scene in 2007 benefited from a good stint in the National Cricket League which saw him getting selected for the Bangladesh Under-19 and A sides. His fine performances for these teams saw him being propelled into the national side, where he made immediate impact on his ODI debut.

Exactly in the year 2015 Bangladesh after knocking England Nasser Hussain words describes " The Bangladesh Tigers have knocked the England Lions out of the World Cup ", after Rubel’s full, pacy delivery knocked out James Anderson’s stumps.
So i think he will be the one to lead my squad in the upcoming 2019 wc.

Not sure Tamim is a good choice at this stage tbh as his WC record is very poor for an opener.
Other picks wouldn't have been too much better.

Khaled Mahmud
A man with limited ability but ample amount of energy within him is who Khaled Mahmud is. His records aren't extra ordinary but he is someone who can lift the team up when down and out and can play a crucial knock or two for the team or can come in and bowl his heart out when the team needs him. His moment of glory in the world cups came in arguably the best upset in cricket when Bangladesh defeated the 1999 WC finalists Pakistan in the group stages match. He added crucial 27 runs and then picked up 3 wickets to seal the deal for his team. He broke the backbone of the Pak batting lineup dismissing the likes of Shahid Afridi, Inzamam and Saleem Malik! He was also awarded the Man of the match for that all round effort. He will be a crucial player in my XI.
