Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton wants to sell the club and a local buisnessman could be in line to become the next chairman.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have accepted the 123M$ offer for Fernando Torres and Manchester City are in talks with Torres agent. It could be a devastating transfer obviously.

Torres is all set to sign for Manchester City. The 126M$ offer was too good to refuse and the Liverpool chairman has agreed to it. Manchester City have also confirmed the deal.

Torres signing has boosted City's shirt sales. However, Liverpool fans have harshly criticised Roy Hodgson and Martin Broughton for selling the Liverpool legend and have said that its a decision they will regret later.

no you don't, i've seen your posts elsewhere on the forum, you seem to regard Torres as some amazing player who is better than Messi and Ronaldo combined.

Also, City don't really need any more strikers, they could do with better defenders though.

Hello mister, was waiting for your ruining comment . When I first watched soccer(2010 FIFA World Cup!) I though that Torres was a great player so followed him. But later I found out the truth. That was when I was supporting Torres alot. But now I'm not a huge fan of him, though I still like him.

Honestly, when was the last time I posted a post regarding Torres as a big huge player better than Ronaldo and Messi.

Past is past. Forget it and rather focus on the story, that is my policy. As I said earlier, Torres is not a very poor player. He gets often injuried and sometimes goes out of form. That is all.

Did you really think Torres was good at the World Cup, he got injured and played quite badly.

Well, you didn't exactly say that you thought Torres was better than Ronaldo/Messi, but in your last story, you said that Real Madrid wanted Torres so badly that they traded Ronaldo for him.

In that thread, I wrote the story in a nonsense way, as I did not know about finances and teams and their ways. Now I know about that so I think I'll improve myself. And Liverpool parted Torres for only 126M$ so that is why.
