Official 'Cricket Pleasures' Thread

Love seeing videos of Ambrose and Walsh bowling. Wish I could have seen them live.
I prefer watching fast bowlers so I anytime a good fast bowler is in full flow its something I get excited about.

Call me a sucker...but I just love watching Paul Collingwood grind out an innings like he is doing now....real true pure test cricket.....

Watching Sachin hit a ton in style. Nothing can beat that. I kind of feel sad when I take into account the fact that he is already 37 years old and will probably retire after the WC.

To watch Bradman would have been nice too. My Grandad saw Bradman play at the Gabba, and said he scored close to 150 runs in 1 session..

Watching WG Grace would have been great as well. Especially that match where he after being clean bowled apparently said to the bowler, "They came to watch me bat, not you bowl" and started batting again. What a guy!

Speaking of retro experiences.
I would've loved to have seen World Series Cricket seeing those initial day/night games.
Australia in Lemon, West Indies in Pink and the World XI in sky blue. Then after the game off to a disco. Mind you they could wear those outfits to a disco.

Mine:
-Anil Kumble bowling against Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla (1999).
-Anil Kumble scoring a century (2007).
-Virat Kohli and his men celebrating the World Cup Victory at Kuala Lumpur (2008).
-Yuvraj's Pinch Hitting against Australia in 2007 T20 World Cup (2007).
-Sreesanth celebrating after taking Haydos' wicket in T20 Worldcup Semi Final (2007).
-Sreesanth catching the ball which Misbah scooped in T20 WC final (2007).
-Sehwag blasting in 4th ODI (IINW) against New Nealand (2009).
-RP Singh's Spell against Australia in Perth (2008).
-Dale Steyn's spell at Ahemdabad in Saffer's tour of India 2010 (2010).
-Gilly's Century against Mumbai Indians (2008).
-Manish Pandey scoring a ton in Ranji trophy final (2010).
-VVS Laxman hitting two sixes (one in IPL 2008 and one in IPL 2010) at D.Y. Patil Stadium!:laugh (2008 and 2010).

Here's another one I have that's from left field. I actually love hearing Henry Blofeld's Commentary.

Another Radio commentator I love hearing is Kerry O'Keiffe. He may get fobbed off as being some comic relief but it shouldn't be forgotten that he did play Test Cricket for Australia so he does have the credibility. I guess to it's because the ABC let him be himself which he couldn't when he was on Channel 9

Also more general ones are I love seeing matches that go right down to the wire. Especially those last ball ones.

Also has anybody mentioned Steve Waugh hitting that 4 off the last ball of the day to make his century against England in January 2003 in Sydney

Blowers is a legend: "I can see a red bus coming down the Radcliffe Road end, oh and another one, probably going to...oh, he's out! Well I say how inoppertune!"

Also speaking of Blowers was it him who made that gag years ago? Invovling Michael Holding bowling to Peter Willey
