Story Pakistan in England 2006 Summer

Pakistan's innings has ended, but before we look at Pakistan's scorecard and England's bowling, lets take a look at England's batting performance in the last innings.

Pakistan Bowling

A good sign for Pakistan is all their bowlers contributed, and took wickets, which shows that most of them are in form, especially their strike bowlers, Akhtar, Asif, Kaneria, and Razzaq.

Lets take a look at Pakistan's dismal batting performance today, and last night.

England Bowling was very good today, especially Ashley Giles, taking 6 very good wickets, and the main factor of this collapse.

This game is going very even, no forecast of rain for the next 4 days will ensure us there will be a result in this test match. England need a good opening partnership, and Pakistan need an early wicket or two.

We'll be back in 5 minutes, but in simple terms, England need 256 runs, and Pakistan need 10 wickets. One thing to be noted though, every batsman in the Pakistan team, except for Inzamam had a very good 20 run start, meaning there was no excuse for this horrible batting performance by Pakistan. They have only themselves to blame. Can Pakistan inspire a great fielding performance, and lead this Npower test series 1-0, or will England emerge victorious?

We'll be back in 5 minutes.

AFP : (LONDON) Captain of Pakistan Inzamam-ul-Haq has said his team will do everything to dismiss England tomorrow. "We bowled England out for less than 200 in Multan, to win the test match, and I think we can do it again. We have more runs to defend, and more time." Last time England and Pakistan played a series together, Pakistan won comprehensively, 2-0.

Reuters : (LONDON) Michael Vaughan has stated his team will go to all extremes to win the test match against Pakistan tomorrow morning. Speaking during the early lunch break, he stated that he was very confident, after a great first innings score, that they had what it takes to get 256 runs. Vaughan said, "I think that we have been on the back foot during this entire test match, but Giles did a WONDERFUL job. He stuck to his task, and got 6 extremely important wickets. If it wern't for him, we would be fighting hard to draw this test match, or we would need some huge sixes from Pietersen and Flintoff! If we dropped Giles after not playing in India, well, we would be chasing over 600, I can tell you that much." Vaughan also expressed that he was thinking of adding Paul Collingwood to the team, to strength the batting and bowling for the 2nd test match .

oh god another run out to inzi in his career! pakistan to win the test easily!!

England 159-3 at tea at day 3, and they require a further 99 runs.

Ian Bell is on 48, and Kevin Pietersen is on 4. Michael Vaughan made a valuable 54, and Trescothick was out for 0. Strauss made 44.

Bell 48* and Pietersen 4* Kaneria 2/33 Akhtar 1/21

England 206/4, Pietersen and Flintoff on strike.

50 more runs required, England look very likely to take the lad in this Npower test series 1-0.

England 245/7, 11 runs required, and it is Ashley Giles and Matthew Hoggard who have walked in.

Flintoff went out hooking the ball straight to Shahid Afridi, more of a top edge, could have gone for six, but a BRILLIANT catch by Afridi.

Geraint Jones got a leading edge, and a very sharp catch taken by Younis Khan.

Can Pakistan show a fight back, as they have done so far, or will England win, even by a small margin such as this. This reminds me of the 2 run victory by England in the 2nd test match. Could it be even closer? 1 Run Victory for Pakistan, or a 1 wicket win for England? Which will it be?

Interesting match going on here!

I know of a feature called 'Edit' here on PC, where I can edit the message I posted.

At that time, the 'Edit' function was not working, no matter what I did. Whether it was my PC, or the Internet I don't know. All I know is, that the feature 'Edit' is operating functionally at this time.
