20 minutes after lunch, Mohammad Asif strikes! A big swinging delivery and Trescothick tried to hit it through the covers, but he only finds Inzamam-ul-Haq with an edge.

*If you're wondering why its been so long, and only 2 runs scored by England, I had to do something, play will be extended of course.

KANERIA GETS THE BIG WICKET!!!
Andrew Strauss tried to hit the ball over the infield, but Kaneria made a good running catch and bowled. Ian Bell walks in as Michael Vaughan is on 4 not out.

England are 145/2, and a good partnership here between captain Michael Vaughan, and young Ian Bell.
This partnership has really put Pakistan on the backfoot, and they would certainly like more wickets before tea.

England at tea haven't made much progress since I last posted!
Actually they haven't progressed, but here are the scorecards at Tea!
Vaughan and Bell need to get some momentum, and get some runs on the board before stumps tonight.
Pakistan would definiatly like to get rid of this pair before stumps, and get a good nights rest of getting a very well set batsman out.
Pakistan have set some interesting fields, putting in a defensively attacking field.
3 Men on the boundary, and 1 slip, a silly point, and a batpad, and then the other 3 fielders about 25 yards out. Very interesting field set by Inzamam, but it seems to have worked, having contained England very well after the momentum was set by Andrew Strauss. Let's take a look at Pakistan's bowling!

Michael Vaughan has finally reached his 50, a well played innings under pressure to get runs, but he needs to increase England's run rate, and his strike rate, and get a big 1 here! He's very well set up to make a 100, and maybe even a 150!

Big wicket for Pakistan, the wicket they needed, of Michael Vaughan, but they still have a long batting line up to get into to even stand a chance of getting a lead here on Day 2. England will have to attempt to not lose any more wickets till the end of the day, but its much too early to bring in a night watch man
