Pakistan in South Africa

sometimes attack is the best form of defense

whats more effective?
An Afridi 10 ball 20 or a 10 ball duck from Farhat or Hafeez
To be fair, if Afridi had've been in Farhat's position then I'm not quite sure Afridi would've even lasted 10 balls. The chances of Afridi getting a duck are greater then Farhat of getting one and the difference between Farhat & Afridi is that Farhat won't immediately throw his innings away after getting to 10.
I'm also sure Mohammad Yousuf's record will improve against South Africa sooner rather then later. He was probably going through a rough patch during or something. I doubt he 'struggles' against South Africa.

well they have this series and also south africa tour pakistan in october

kevin pieterson should watch this innings and get an idea of what he should have done in the ashes

Well this is thew usual story with South African cricket. They just can't finish off an innings.

Gambino, what the hell does KP have to do with anything? I suppose the fact that he was England's best performing batsman in the Ashes means nothing to you, especially when you seem to have a personal vendetta against him.

not alot but the way he kept giving singles at the 1st ball of every over with the tail

It's not as easy as that you know. You'll notice that the South African field settings allow singles all around the ground wheras the Australian's kept a tight field whenever KP batted with the tail.

Wrong thread and all here Matt, but ill back you up on this arguement.

England throughout the Ashes had a habit of falling at one end and leaving a potentially good batsmen at the other.

KP had the unfortunate incident of having to put up with it, and when Punter moved the majority of his men into boundry positions the single was only on offer. Its potentially good planning by Punter but still it is very difficult batting with the tail.

SA have had this problem of finishing a team off for a while

I think Pietersen's will end up being better then any of the Pakistani batsman anyway.

I don't get why Pakistan didn't get 5 runs. A stupid call from the the umpire.

considering the bowling nowadays,

its quite obvious

Pakistan are gone. Akhtar off the field with a sidelining problem & Mohammad Sami is opening the bowling.
Smith & de Villiers will be licking their lips.
Smith has an identical batting average to Sami's bowling average.

Lol, Sami would be a class all-rounder if you reversed his averages.

this Inzi innings kinda reminds me of the pakistan vs bangladesh in 2003 i think it was, probably the bigest clutch perofrmance by any batsman.

SO your calling the quality of bowling nowadays rubbish are you?
compared to the bowling from 10 years ago till this season you bet

mcgrath and warne retiring and pieterson played against them at the end of their careers,

pieterson wouldnt have made half the runs hes made now had he played international cricket 7-8 years ago
