Ah ****!!!!!! Real pity that the Auzzies lost, but hopefully they can come back strongly against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and then we're all off to Pakistan!

Tri Series squads Announced

The Tri-Series being held in Sri Lanka, will see Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan fighting it out for the win. It will consisit of two matches against each team than the top two will play off in a final. (I will only post scorecards of Sri Lanka V Pakistan matches). The fixtures are as follows.

1st Match: Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan
2nd Match: Australia Vs Pakistan
3rd Match: Sri Lanka Vs Australia
4th Match: Pakistan Vs Sri Lanka
5th Match: Paksitan vs Australia
6th Match: Australia Vs Sri Lanka
Final: TBC​

The squads for this series have also been announced:

Notable Inclusions are Shoaib Akhtar making his international return after appealing his ban for pakistan. Sri Lanka Choosing Mendis after his great Asia Cup Final, Lasith Malinga comes back after a long injury period and Muralitharan has decided on a warm up series before the Champions Trophy.
Australia have dropped Ronchi and Hilfenhaus for Hauritz and Voges.

hey hows it going. just had a quick flick through your story and its quite impressive. the only comment i would make is that there arent any pictures to complement it. your writing style is very good but its all text. a few images would make it a far more enjoyable read.

Sri Lanka VS Pakistan 1st Match

Tri Series
1st Match​

This is the first match of the Tri Series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka and of course Australia. Because of the fact this match does not include Australia, i will only be doing a quick summery.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first on a flat track.

Things started off bad for Pakistan losing Salmann Butt for a duck. Than when Yousuf went soon after for 3, they looked in some trouble. But 50's to Malik, Jamshed and Akmal it helped Pakistan to 251. Fernando was the best of the bowlers taking 5 wickets although three were taileneders. Vaas cleaned up the top three wickets however.

Sri Lanka came out to bat chasing 251. It too started shakily loosing Jayasuriya and captain Jayawardene for 13 and 7 respectively. but a 50 to Sangakkara and an unbeaten 100+ partnership between Dilshan and Udawatte both scoring 50's helped Sri Lanka to an easy 6 wicket win.

Udawatte was awarded MOM for his unbeaten 77 and for taking one wicket.​

God Sri Lanka absolutely battered Pakistan there, the first shock of the tournament already!
