What I don't understand is you have Fawad Alam sitting at home and he is by far the best domestic batsmen Pakistan have??
One thing though, praise where praise is due; Asad Shafiq has really been good in this series. Seems like he can actually play the bowl.

One of the reasons I want him to continue playing is so that he crosses the 10,000 runs mark, and becomes the first Pakistani to do so. He is clearly struggling in England and the lack of ODI practice is clearly showing for him. Maybe he should just play in UAE like Hafeez as they are both very useful on dust tracks.

Hafeez is still Pakistan best opening batsman
He is bound to succeed ever now and again if he is the only one to given proper chances. Steyn tore him apart, English bowlers neutralised him. He is a king of his own backyard a lot like Raina.

He is Pak 4th highest run scorer in this series behind Sarfraz by 3runs (Misbah and Shafiq being the other two)
His Bowling Action will be re tested soon so if he has fixed his action then he is Pak's Best AR TOO!
