Hafeez is not a top order batsman and without his bowling, he deserves not to play

That's a bit harsh, he got a score the other night against NZ playing as an opener.

That innings was a struggle and the way he got out just goes to show his thinking which is more akin to a lower order batsman than a an opener's.

Surprised they've called up Jamshed as a replacement ahead of Ajmal. Ajmal can win a game on his own. Makes me think that Pakistan aren't 100% confident in his action. They can't desperately want an opening bat. Safraz could have opened.

Jamshed isn't that a bad choice for opening as a replacement of Hafeez. Pakistani Batting desprately needs someone in the middle order who can stablize them in a tumbling position and Sarfraz is their best shot for it.
Or otherwise , they could have gone with Fawad Alam and open with Sarfraz.

Ajmal's refusal is surprising. More surprising is the refusal of the management to bring in Ajmal even after having prior knowledge of his improvement in bowling action & approval by ICC. May be there is a bone of contention between him & the management.

Let's just accept the fact that Waqar Younis is not a good coach. His previous tenure as a coach didn't have much highlights either. & according to Kamran Akmal he puts more effort in practice & physical training then the match it self. Its no surprise players appear tired during the games & are injury prone. Mohsin Hassan Khan had shown better potential as a coach in a single series then Waqar has in all his coaching period. Also Moin Khan doesn't appear to be a anything beyond an ordinary selector with prejudice for some and bias for others.

This is a good win for us but this is just a warm up game and team was not under that much duress. For Pakistan's sake I hope they are not thinking of dropping Sarfaraz in up coming big match. Sarfaraz's few failures should not undermine his chances for selection. He is the guy who score centuries under pressure against like of Australia. He should be an automatic choice. He is not the greatest of keepers but a hell lot better than a part timer in Akmal. My team going into the first match will be

3.Sohaib Maqsood
4.Misbah Ul Haque
5.Harris Sohail
6.Sarfaraz Ahmed
7.Shahid Afridi

Some will question my logic behind dropping Umar Akmal but he has no place in combination. We can't write too much into his one off performance in a warm up game. Harris is more consistent and he can bowl a few overs if the conditions suite spin bowling or a regular goes for plenty. Once again, I hope we do not drop Sarfaraz.

I'd love to see Yasir Shah playing the first game, He's bowling performance in the warm-up against England was very Impressive.No doubt he's capable to taking 5 wickets in a match, But I'm not sure if he'll be a part of the playing 11 today.

If Jamshed plays today, I hope he performs well something that we haven't seen in a while.He's too prone to getting out at a low-score.

I mainly state PCB the responsible of all problems. The players who are injured at that moment (Actually They are not) are removed not with the reason they told.

Mohammed Hafeez who is fit now, even guaranteed the management that he will be fit in some days. But PCB replaced him with Nasir Jamshaid.

Younas Khan was not a good selection at all. Younas Khan whose age is nearing retirement and also he isn't that young to play is playing World Cup.

Saeed Ajmal who has got his action perfect isn't still asked by PCB to join World Cup. The issue with Pakistan's Team is spinners, if Pakistan brings Saeed Ajmal and M.Hafeez in, we can expect victory ✌[DOUBLEPOST=1424018985][/DOUBLEPOST]

Sarfraz isn't good at all. U.Akmal is better. If he has dropped one catch then Sarfraz Recently has dropped 1 Catch and has missed stumping chances twice. And more.

It's not just on the basis of what he did today, everytime I see the lad behind the sticks he just looks like he doesn't belong there, he lacks the reflexes that should be second nature to a guy in his position. That said, I've never really paid much attention to appraise Sarfaraz in terms of his keeping nouse but I know as much that he markets himself as a specialist, which Akmal definitely is not.
I also believe he smacked a ton or two during a phase where I was a bit disillusioned with Pakistani cricket (so you might be a little bit more the wiser than me), so I don't see the harm in including him, based on what happened today.

There're a number reasons behind this defeat

Virat Kohli was dropped by Yasir Shah on the score of 4 who later went on to score a century. I'll consider this as the main factor for the defeat, Kohli's innings proved to be the base innings for India that allowed Raina to attack freely without being under pressure.
If Kohli would've been dismissed at that very moment then Pak would've saved at least 80-100 runs.

Also Sohaib Maqsood, Younis Khan & Umar Akmal were the main culprits in this defeat.
