The situation in Pakistan is entirely different than in India or Sri Lanka. I dont understand why you think they are similar. Pakistan has an open border with a country that is over run with terrorists. They move freely between the two and there are many terror cells that operate within Pakistan itself. Stop trying to compare it to the Indian security situation or a now finished civil war. PCB will lose the legal battle, Even if Pakistan boycotts the world cup nothing will happen, they dont have the financial power to have any affect on world cricket.

Dude, do you read? I honestly think you have a reading disability because you seem to like to skip over so many things.

I clearly said that security assessments should have been taken of the other countries to justify that security is the only reason.

You asked (or rather stated that the PCB would lose the case) why the PCB would win the case, and I gave you the answers. The ICC when making the decision, however correct it may be, did not follow the proper procedure in doing so. I've clearly stated that above, and where the ICC went wrong.

Now, in a normal court setting, you would rule in favor of the PCB. Even in the CAS, you would have to rule in favor of the PCB. This isn't about the right thing to do, that has little matter in a court setting. In court, you have to look at the regulations by the book.

Let me give you an example. If a police officer arrests somebody, but doesn't fill out any of the paperwork (such as why he was arrested, etc), and the accused is brought in front of a judge, is it not likely that he will have to be let go? This happens all the time - it's just a matter of another technicality where the PCB have played their cards smarter than the ICC.

Exactly what would it cost?

Almost all commercial flights to Pakistan from India (especially), Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, require you to be in transit in Dubai.

Unless they are taking buses (unless they were planning to charter planes) across the borders, you would have to go to Dubai anyway, when going to Pakistan.

So money wise, no it would not matter - it would in fact be less money because you only have to go to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The UAE is home to many Pakistanis. If you watched the ODI series vs Australia in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, you would almost feel that the game was taking place in Pakistan due to the crowd. The UAE would be like a home ground for Pakistan, simply because of the support.

The only money issue I see are hotels and security, but if the PCB are willing to foot the bill (as they have said they will), then what's the problem?

I understand that the state of Pakistan is in no-way the Cricket teams fault, but they, like everyone else have to realise that people aren't comfortable in Pakistan. (This is rightly so.)

I understand why people will feel like its harsh, but its the way it is.

I agree with Jordan here, beggars really can't be choosers. If Pakistan want to dictate the cricketing calender, then they need to re-look at themselves, they've no right.

The thing is, in the end, the PCB need to stop whining about things, and just get on with it. They don't want to tour Bangladesh (is it?) because it is before a ODi series? And now they refuse to play in India? Which yes, has terrorism, but I'd imagine its somewhat safer than Pakistan?

Simon, Pakistan cannot tour Bangladesh, because we will be playing New Zealand in the UAE at the exact same time.

You have to understand the situation in India as well - there are still groups out there that would love to kill the Pakistan team, especially post 26/11. Pakistan will not play their WC games in India, simple as that. Pakistan in all likeliness will win their case against the ICC, and thus should be hosting games in the UAE.

Once this happens, I don't know what happens to playing games in India, but I suspect at this point Pakistan will play only the semi-final and final in India.

Are you going to straight up tell me that it is perfectly safe in India to be a Pakistani supporter or as a Pakistani (representing Pakistan) that it is safe in India for them?

In 2004, Indian fans were able to proudly hold their country's flag and wear shirts of the Indian cricket team in public in Pakistan. Can Pakistanis do that in India in the current climate? I doubt it.

Lets test my theory. Go get a Pakistani shirt, and go out in public for some time (go shopping, etc). If you make it back alive and are here to tell us what happened, then I might consider believing you.

Don't get me wrong, many Indians will appreciate the guests from Pakistan. But you have to look at the 1-2% who have other ideas.
