I would agree, but I think Wasim is raw enough that he could be struggling with some flaw in his bowling in training atm. Although Hamza and Sajid didn't exactly impress in the practice game

He conceded 16 runs in 7 overs in the practice match.
The other pacers went at 4+ RPO

Same with Rauf - 9 games total (at this point you gotta wonder if any one them is even gonna play Test cricket in the near future considering how easily they break down) even Naseem case is in a way similar to Agha & Saud except afaik they haven't played outside Asia unlike Shah who average 60/70 plus.

Don't understand this decision to bowl first at all. MCG is known as a hard place to bat on Day 4/5 and we don't have the quality to chase it down at the moment.

Maybe the decision was influenced by not wanting to play Sajid and include another seamer so better to utilise a hard day 1 track.

Will have to see if we can bowl them out for a change below 300.

First 10 overs done and honestly, Pakistan just seem a little unlucky at the moment.

Shaheen has swung so many past the bat, Mir Hamza is doing the same and Hasan Ali has bowled a few jaffas. Luck hasn’t been on their side

Only down side has been the speeds today - Shaheen started with 135 and by that end was bowling at 130 at best.

Pakistan have been unlucky but why are bowlers bowling in 120’s on Day 1 of a test match. Without the speed, you are not getting this Aussie squad out. Where is pace is pace yaar?

I don’t think anyone other than Shaheen at full fitness can bowl quick in this lineup and it’s obvious that Shaheen’s been terribly mismanaged.

The 200 test wicket achievement will elude yet another Pakistani pacer if they keep overworking him like this.
