Pakistan tour of Australia and New Zealand 2023/24

Rest Shaheen for a test in a country we tour every 4 years, but play him non stop in meaningless T20's against B teams...

Well now that he is the T20I captain, I reckon there's pressure on him from admin to prioritize the format

Is that really the XI?

Why not play Wasim Jr? Even more important if Shaheen needs time off.

3 medium pacers, two of whom have very little experience of exposure on the international stage, one b level ish spinner and a part time spinner. Who came up with this attack?
I also don't see the point in debuting a test opener in the last test of a competitive series.

Series sealed, Imam struggled, let's see the new kid show his mettle on a big stage

Nai ts silly and its typical PCB trying to make changes to say "see, we are trying different things".

There's no planning here what-so-ever and it is a useless, defeatist mind set.

The Aussies would be looking to win the last match in a series regardless of previous results, Pakistan must adopt that way of thinking and approaching cricket.

I mean, look at the bowling line-up they have just selected. What's Wasim Jr there for? A free tour of Australia?

I still feel Shaheen should have played that match, rested for 2/5 T20's in New Zealand. This is what happens when teams prioritize T20's over Tests. This is also another reason only few top teams play more test cricket.

Wonder what odds you could have got on the Pakistan attack for the first test of 2024 being Hassan Ali, Aamer Jamal, Mir Hamza and Sajid Khan, 2 months ago let alone six months ago.

Fu*k you Imam ... Oh wait!

What Pakistan wouldn't give for an opener who didn't feel the need to strike at 70... It's just a pity that there aren't any within 100 metres of the pitch.

Typical 1990's sub-continental morning. Wake up and find the sub-continental team tottering at 50/5. Things clearly haven't changed.

This has been a remarkable inning from Rizwan. What counter attacking making Australia change their tactics. What looked like a 120-150 score now looks like 200-250 score. Go champion
