and i feel sorry for your lack of attention. Read my post again... where did i mentioned anything about Hafeez not deserving of his place?

As for Sami.... as you mentioned 'playing XI'... tell me who he can replace in this lineup?

1. Butt/Latif
2. K. Akmal
3. Hafeez
4. Umar. Akmal
5. Afridi
6. Misbah
7. Fawad
8. Razzaq
9. Mohd. Aamer
10. Ajmal
11. Asif

please enlighten me who can Sami replace in that side.... i hope you don't say butt

Butt/Latif will go out and Hafeez will open and there you go Sami is in now

in my opinion its not a good balance when you have only two specialist batsman in your side.... with 6 front line and 2 part-time bowlers.....

our batting side is our weakness and that should be remedied... adding another bowler to the already crowded bowling won't help....

but you can't rely on Razzaq as the third seamer

but you can't rely on Razzaq as the third seamer

the pitches in WI are slow and more suitable for spin bowling. So even if we don't rely on Razzaq we have quite a spin quadrant to rely upon.....

what!!! i am amazed that you are saying this about Hafeez He is performing not too bad these days and i hope that he'll continue playing like this

I hope you get my point now. Muhammad Hafeez is a domestic type of player. He does not have talent to do well on international level. He bowled crap and went for 47 runs. He batted like a failure too, failing to take any single and put too much pressure on butt. Muhammad Sami another tested failure went for 56 runs and both of these ███████ cost us the match. A team with sifarishies (one who gets selected on basis of nepotism) can only go so far in a big tournament. I don't see Pakistan going further than super 8 if both of the above clowns keep on playing.
Another point in question is pathetic keeping skills of Kamran Akmal. He dropped two catches against bangladesh and one of the beneficiaries (shakibul) almost won the match for them. Akmal should only play as batsman and Sarfraz should have been in the squad to keep wickets.

Never matters who Pakistan have in their team, they could play like demons but next match you can be sure they will fail like they have never failed before. Hot N Cold, thats Pakistan cricket, always has been. Maybe Katy Perry is actually a Pakistan cricket supporter????

I'll never forget the shambles of a Pak team that toured Aus in 92/93, only 6 months after they won the 92 World Cup. They were world champs for a few months, world chumps thereafter.

I totally agree with your comments but playing substandard and tried and tested, failures matters. Sami and Hafeez went for over a hundred runs. Their records do not justify their selection. Muhammad Sami plays due to his association with leader of a political party here. Only a passionate follower of Pakistan cricket can understand the bullcrap that goes around here.
