Patch 1.05 Now Available on PS4

I agree that, for me at least, the batting in DBC17 was near perfect. With the sliders I managed to make a great blend of challenging/fun and I could really feel the difference between batting on a slow, dead wicket and a fast, bouncy one.

It makes sense they made things easier on lower difficulties for Ashes since there will likely be a lot more new/casual people picking up the game. But I'm not sure what could have gone wrong at the higher difficulties.

i'm finding that 1.05 is effectively broken. the "stumping issue", which I never saw in PC and saw only once in 1.03 was apparently "fixed" and now it happens multiple times in every batting innings (i stopped playing last night when there were 5 in 3 Lyon overs). the AI has stopped using its all rounders. the ai is getting dismissed to aerial/lofted shots on a scale that simply didn't exist before.

This doesn't make me happy, and that from a beta tester.

I am bowling on veteran, hard bowling, all sliders normal with pace bowling speeds on 70. Maybe give it a try.

Can we just not all agree to go back to 1.03? Will it be available to go back to on the Steam version? I've had two Jimmy inswing bowleds, a couple of edges (one horrible drop). England rallying to 450 odd after being 77/4. A Lyon LBW on the back foot, all in two days on 1.05. It feels like cricket, but maybe I'm just having a lucky match.

the bowling is pretty much there, maybe a couple to many aerial shots, but the problem is with the batting. If you leave a ball, or play forward and miss to a spinner your almost gauranteed to get stumped.

everyone was saying to move a little back to avoid this, though i am only bowling so i dont know.

yea it doesnt work, I take 2 or 3 steps back every time a spinner comes on, yet if I press the leave button the batter drags his back foot up to the front foot out of the crease. You can get around it by just not pressing anything when wanting to leave but it's a bit annoying

I thought this was the big problem with 1.03 version (the stumping bug issue)...

The late cut was an issue in DBC14 with getting stumped as a batter.

today's update on my Netherland - Scotland game. Got the fourth wicket, and it's quite nice. All wickets have been great, maybe the only problem was that it took a lot of time to get them.
Netherland 216-4 after 66 overs.

Why wasn't this overturned because of impact? He's clearly playing a shot.

I've seen it a lot where it doesn't seem to recognise a shot being played. Hits them outside off, but adjudged not playing a shot

Agree, I am happy with everything about this game except repeated stumpings - I am having to just not press anything if I want to leave the ball and if you play a drive you really need to ensure you connect.

If that could be fixed I think this is otherwise the best built gameplay I’ve seen in a BA cricket game.

I'm genuinely interested if there is anyone out there who thinks their game improved by going from 1.03 to 1.05?

I played about 20 0vers on 1.03, then updated with 1.05 as per your recommendation, and I must say, the game plays much better for now, haven't played long enough
