What a shame that after the great patch 1.09, BA weren't even able to release a patch that worked on it's terms. (i.e. edge slider 100 is NOT the same as patch 1.09 as intended)
it should not be hard to have the base variables that affect edge frequency vary per format (less edges the shorter the format, to allow teeing off in f5,t10,t20) or even online/offline mode. if it is that hard, the design is wrong.
it's absurd that we're still tinkering with crap like that rather than addressing untouched issues around fieldsets, or re-fixing other gains that were lost like the field skillsets meaning something so you don't have Tufnell in the slips, and AI using part time bowlers.
BA are incapable of fixing one thing without breaking others. yeah this is a complex sport and interrelated factors in the game are complicated... but you reach a point where the finger has to pointed at the devs and their controls and processes.
Again I have no idea the point you are trying to make......then again my brains are spattered all over the wall......Truly said then why players skills are not locked if no one want to use it great thought
Player skill should not be edited a valid point made by some respected member.
Already big ant has provided option and allowed player skills edit.
As respected member had mentioned in some old thread player skills editing was a great feature but he is not ready to use it.
We have to face 100 skills bowlers all time in online games and also 40 skill bowlers in online game has anyone ever faced it being such a responsible beta tester I feel have a feel of it can see a new timing window opens when the great talent bats.

I preferred previous patch but the game is still a good game
Respect should be given to big ant,it's a small company and the last 3 cricket games they have released have been great and it's a credit to them
New patch. Batted 10 overs of a 40 over game and just had to switch off. Xbox one. One run out given against me when batsmans bat was clearly grounded behind the crease. Another batsman given out caught on a low catch that was dropped on the ground and snaffled up again.....cut scene replay clearly showed this. Shot timings to pacers may be improved but batting to spinners is now a nick fest. If this is the last patch, then it's killed the game for me.
Without any doubt. I have always stressed this and argues the point. People forget what we had before.
Also, I wish people would stop saying it’s a bloody nick fest. It’s just to hard for them. Drop difficulty or practice.

The level of competence and consistency of patch quality isn't going to improve, so there is no point challenging them on this anymore. I mean, they can't even get stats to calculate correctly over the last 14 patches (if you include DBC17). It took me a couple of hours to write a spreadsheet that calculated cricket stats accurately. Something really isn't right if they can't even get simple calculations correct.
I'm reconciled with the fact that there is a significant level of incompetence regarding Big Ant's QA process, and this has been consistently demonstrated over the several years I have been following their cricket games. A new patch could improve the game, or it could make the game worse. It's a lottery. They deserve some credit because they seem to be at least TRYING, but there has to be a point where they think about stepping back and asking themselves why they can't fix simple bugs and why they can't deliver a consistently good gameplay experience.
To put it another way, I really can't think of another example of a game where patches make the game WORSE rather than improve it. Why do BigAnt have this problem?
Ashes is the best of the three so far in my opinion, best graphics and gameplay. DBC 14 was the second best, but DBC 17 was a big disappoinment think I played it for about a week then I let it collect dust for a couple of months before returning it.Credit to them yes but before there games become anything close to what they promised they always have to patch it up 6 months down the line (major fixes Patch). for me DBC17 was a disappointment compared to DB14, yes the obligatory patch 6 months later help the game massively. Ashes has started well and I like the look of the graphics compared to the last games but they still haven't got everything right that should be working correctly or even easy to fix or implement.
I wish that the next game keeps the fixes they have made and fix what is needed so that on release the game is at least worth the price I paid for it.
