Late Night With Stars - 'Edition 1'

"No Experience, No Battle scar"

Welcome you all to "Late Night With Stars" a new magazine which will cover exclusive interviews with stars of this league.

Today in our first edition we have the newly elected captain of England squad, Kristian Lee. Lee lead England in the last edition of Ashes and was the second highest wicket taker. I provide you the exclusive interview with the star Kristian Lee, a man with talent and experience.

Q : First congratulations on being selected as the Captain of the England squad. With Ashes around the corner, you have been provided with new set of inexperienced players. Do you think your team has what it takes to cross all the hurdles? Are you up for the challenges?

Of course; we have a well-balanced squad and if you're good enough you're old enough. I'll be honest, I'd have liked to be able to call on players with experience of past Ashes series, but perhaps it's a good thing we don't have that. No battle scars

Q : Your team will be facing Ireland in the upcoming series, what is your though on team Ireland.

Irish cricket is a great organisation, but their selectors need help. Their recent picks have been baffling.

Q : Are you trying to say that the Irish board members are not doing their job?

Honestly, yes - the amount of mediocrity that has been tolerated from players whose best performances are long in the past is holding back a new generation of young players.

Q : There is quite a rumor spreading around your dressing room, that you are a very close friend of the England Board manager and that was the only reason behind you being named the captain of England team. Care to comment?

Whoever is spreading that rumour is a clown. It's not my first Ashes series and not even my first as captain.

Q : Which player in your squad to you expect to shine in the upcoming match.

I hope that Moeen Ali stands up and helps to bring greater balance to our one-day team where a sixth bowler always helps. Also, Josh King will be vital at number three.

Q : Do you think Saroj Padhy and team has what it takes to defeat you in the Ashes?

No. Wait, was I meant to give a longer answer?

Q : Can we take this answer has a direct challenge to Aussie for the upcoming Ashes?

if you wish.

Kristian Lee just smashed the accusers out of the park with his bold statements. He is confident that his new inexperienced team is going to seal each and every moments of this league. His confidence level is so high that he does not even consider @Saroj padhy and team as a worthy opponents and challenge them heads on.

He also put forward a straight accusation at the board of selectors of Ireland Cricket Association where he pin points their lack of ability to do their job. Will Irish take this accusation seriously and fight back in the upcoming league. Lets wait and watch.

Viewers and fellow starts, want to feature in the upcoming edition? have a opinion against or supporting the comment made by our stars? share them with the tagline [HASHTAG]#Lens[/HASHTAG] and let your thoughts be heard.

I will give a work to @The Deadman to choose the 3rd international player (more preferably an allrounder) and to use 1 more star on a player (excluding himself :p) with the addition of Smith our batting looks fine.. And bowling is full of legends.. Just the allrounder department is looking a bit down. We can use that star point to make someone opener too.. Why not you?

Ireland in England ODI series

1st ODI - :eng: England v :ire: Ireland at Bristol

- Pitch: Evenly balanced
- Players injured/unavailable: None

@Aislabie

Lineup rules

1) A proper wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:/:arwk:) in your XI.
2) A minimum of 6 players marked to bowl.
3) Players ruled out due to injury cannot be selected.
4) The time limit for posting lineups is 120 hours. I will go with a random lineup if neither captain nor vice captain posts a lineup within that period.
5) Please also tag all PC members selected in your lineup post.

Explanation on pitch types

Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Quite regular to find in most European countries.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way.
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.

England couldn't have asked for a better finish to their innings than the one provided by Talha Hayat (@CerealKiller) and Naman Thakur (@Naman Thakur). 102 runs were plundered off their final ten, with Thakur scoring an unbeaten 23-ball 41 including 5 sixes. This after a couple of breezy 90s at the top of the order by Moeen Ali and Josh King (@Aggz) saw them put up a massive total of 385.
