Sign-ups PC Ashes 2017/18 - The Countdown Begins | 4th Test - Rather predictable..

Sorry to be a spoilsport but just butting in to give my opinion, I just believe their first series should be against Afghanistan, They have a healthy rivalry and it would be nice to see them play against each other in their first match.
We can assume they already played against Afghanistan.

Half-centuries from Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis at the top set it up nicely for AB de Villiers to cash in with some typically belligerent strokeplay. South Africa finished with a total of 301 despite some tight bowling towards the end by the English bowlers.

This was one match the usually reliable Kristian Lee (@Aislabie) couldn't finish off. Luckily for England, Lance Hardwood (@Na Maloom Afraad) did enough to level the scores with a last ball four off Morne Morkel. South Africa still led 1-0 with one match left to play in the series.

Lineup rules

1) A proper wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:/:arwk:) in your XI.
2) A minimum of 6 players marked to bowl.
3) Players ruled out due to injury cannot be selected.
4) The time limit for posting lineups is 120 hours. I will go with a random lineup if neither captain nor vice captain posts a lineup within that period.
5) Please also tag all PC members selected in your lineup post.

Explanation on pitch types

Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Quite regular to find in most European countries.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way.
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.

Late Night With Stars - 'Edition 3"
"We don't waste time in mind games and sledging"

Presenting you an exclusive interview with one of the Rising England star.

Q : Congratulations on making the squads main XI. How are you settling into the team?
We're a squad full of talented and motivated players, so it wasn't hard settling in, also because most of us haven't played too much international cricket, so everyone was in the same position.
Q : In the first match against Ireland, you played a major part in your teams victory. But you failed to strike in your second game, Loss of concentration? Too much pressure? Care to comment?
It's the law of averages. You can't expect to score in every game. Credit goes to the bowler.
Q : Which player or players do you think will play a major role for the upcoming Ashes in your team?
I think we all are capable of playing a defining role, but i think our captain Kristian Lee will be a key player.
Q : Aussies Skipper Saroj Padhy said in the previous interview that England squad does not have any talent and sure does not have a chance at the Ashes this year. What was your mind set after hearing this? Did your team have any meeting regarding this? Are you guys taking it sportively?
Unlike the Aussies, we don't waste time in mind games and sledging.
Q : A national Team captain making such a rash comment. Do you think this kind of attitude is healthy for the sports?
You can expect it from an Australian. I will let the fans judge for themselves. It is pretty clear from that statement what kind of players they are.
Q : Ireland being a weak team compared to your squad, I would say they rattled you guys pretty well. Which almost makes everyone think that what Aussies skipper mentioned might be true. What do you think your teams weak line is?
Ireland might be an Associate, but they are no pushovers, as they've proved many times now.
I think the only weak link i can think of is our inexperience, but that can turn out to be a blessing in disguise, since we have no mental scars from playing the Aussies, like some more experienced players might have had.
Q : If you have been elected as the Captain, what would your playing XI be for 1st ODI match against South Africa?
The same that our current captain would pick.
Q : Your captain has been experimenting with the squad. So leave his pick, I want you to name the XI players. Can you do that for our readers.
I don't want to reveal anything to the opposition.

Well there you go, bold statement from an young talent with lot of confidence in his captain and team. A good team spirit is always a weapon to tear your way through to victory and the England team seems to hold a powerful one. Will it help them in Ashes, lets wait and watch.

Talha Hayat (@CerealKiller) steered the ship with a very responsible innings of 84 after England's top-order experiment failed to bring the results that were expected. South Africa's 4-man pace attack found a good deal of assistance from the Lord's pitch and kept their opponents to a below-par total of 244.

Ben Storms' (@Pinch hitter) dismissal of Imran Tahir brought up a thrilling 5-run victory for England, thus helping them draw the 3-match series 1-1 with the South Africans. South Africa, who were coasting along to a surefire victory at 126 without loss by the 20th over had no idea what hit them as Shravan Hotha (@swacker), Lance Hardwood (@Na Maloom Afraad) and Abdul Rafay (@Perfect Square) ran amok with 8 wickets between themselves.

1) A minimum of 11 PC players are required in a squad.
2) No more than 4 real life players allowed in a squad.
3) Real life players that have been selected as PC player likenesses have been ruled out of this league. This effectively means the following players cannot be selected in this league: :eng: James Anderson, :eng: Jonny Bairstow, :eng: Jos Buttler, :eng: Alastair Cook, :eng: Alex Hales, :eng: Liam Plunkett, :eng: Toby Roland-Jones, :eng: Joe Root :eng: Ben Stokes, :eng: Peter Trego, :eng: Chris Woakes, :eng: Mark Wood
6) If a captain finds himself indisposed and unable to post a lineup for his team, it is the vice captain's duty to step in and do so. The maximum time allotted for posting lineups is 120 hours or 5 days. I will go with a random lineup if neither captain nor vice captain posts a lineup within that period.
7) There are no lineup restrictions, apart from the compulsory selection of a wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:/:arwk:) in your lineup. It also helps to have a minimum of 6 bowling options marked for ODIs and 5 for Test matches.

2) A minimum of 5 players marked to bowl.
