The idea looks good to me. :)
My thoughts have changed. :)
If I was a judge, I would never think about the time and hard-work involved in making the artwork.

If the outcome is good, the ratings are good. If the outcome is bad, ratings are bad. Simple!

You will never make a good judge, thank you. Argue as you like. Maybe there's something more you should know, but who am I to tell.

The thing of "if it looks good then it's good, bad then bad" is the escapism developed in commercial activities through lazy people, it's partially true outcome is what matters but Imagine if I can rip off some stuff deep in the internet world and you stick with your "if it looks good then it's good", then god save. Without hard work, god forbid, no work be done. So it's pointless to have anybody judging who just cares for the look.

There are again some whiners, who make pretty shabby stuff and say "I've worked on it for 2 days, how the hell can you say it's bad? and in the first place you don't know how it's done".

Your logic applies to those people, but not for people who really work. So this competition is about hard work. And the stock idea basically applies there. And all judging in graphics and media is basically done on how you can take an image into looking good far enough.

Thanks.

KBC added 3 Minutes and 30 Seconds later...

No. Even if it the rule is accepted, it'll be only implemented from next week. :)

It is and will be accepted, Pranav. :) Sorry, no compromises.

@All: Yes, Pranav, you send your entries and stuff to. Refer to my post in the previous page for example of how to put your stock with it. (lols, as silly as diaper changing)

I will surely do so once you discuss the issues with me.

IF YOU STILL WANT TO INGORE THIS MESSAGE AND HOPE THAT I WILL PUT IT UP AS A RULE IN THE FIRST POST, THEN I AM AFRAID, YOU'RE WRONG. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I'M TELLING YOU, SEND ME A PM, SO THAT WE CAN DISCUSS THIS.

And for God's sake keep your inbox empty, if you want to avoid such posts in future.

I'll say again, there is no need of sending the stock for this week. I've already received about 10 entries and only a couple of them have sent in the stocks.

Your theory completely depends upon ifs and buts. You mean to say that IF someone rips, they would have the advantage. A negative approach won't solve the purpose.

Let me give you a simple example. In any written examination, the only thing the paper checker does is give marks for the correct answers. He will never think that how much time would the child have prepared for it, how much money he would have spent to prepare or which pen (a reference to the stock of an artwork) did he use so that he had a nice grip for a better and quick handwriting. All he does is giving marks for the correct answers. Once again, "if the answers are good, marks are good. If the answers are bad, marks are bad". Quite understandable, isn't it?

You say that the current system of the competition implies a benefit for rippers, but why cheat. Even if someone does, no problems. Its just a forum competition and we need to understand it. If a guy cheats and win, let him enjoy his "false" victory. A win here and there won't really help anyone to reach the greatest heights.

I agree that you might be one of the greatest graphic maker here, but that doesn't really imply that your views have to be correct all the time.

Think about it!

Where the hell are you :facepalm
Firstly, that example has nothing to do with graphics, exams and graphics are 2 different things and-
Secondly, we get individual questions that are worth 10 marks, are you saying that it's the answer that's worth 10 marks? The working counts towards like 9 marks and the answer = 1 -
even though that example has nothing to do with graphics, just felt like proving you wrong

Though I don't want to interfere in this matter, I'd like to support Bounce:yes.

Cause its the outcome, which matters, not the time/any other factor, which creates that work.
TBF, I took 2 days for this weeks entry [of course, I haven't worked all the 48 hours, I worked for hardly 1 hour, but the time taken to read tutorials and complete the thing took 48 hours.], so, will I be given the first place?

And MaD: Okay, compare it to T20 Cricket, not the education. No one sees if you play orthodox cover drive to score four runs, if you require four runs off last ball. Even if you edge the ball and wicketkeeper misses to stop and get those four runs, you'll get four runs and you'll be declared winner:yes.

Why do kids interfere in each matter! Go play and study lad.
I don't blame you for disagreeing with me, this happens with every child.

Exactly. :)

I'd appreciate if we don't discuss it here. I'm personally okay with the idea, just that it becomes to problematic in few situations. :)

I'm still waiting for KBC's PM...

Well I said it, If you want to argue go scratch your butts. This competition Also looks at the hard work so thank you very much, if you don't like it, don't..

Not talking about you but Madhur makes more sensible posts and opinions than many of the grown ups here.
