I don't think you are getting my point. I'm saying the people who are cheating need to get a life. Not people like you or others who are putting hard work into their Graphics. I understand that you want to win. I'm saying the people who are actually rigging this thing need to take a good look at their lives and set their priorities straight.

I agree that the voting system we currently have is corrupt. But, the thing is that the we have to think of a better voting system. The system you suggested is good in theory only.

Getting the mods to vote for entries will be a bad idea, as this forum is not solely dedicated to graphics. This system works well in PA for obvious reasons. Here, some of the mods have not even visited the graphics forum once. Even if they did, they hardly know about graphics.

Getting a panel to vote for the entries aslo is bit tough imo. First, the panel has to be fixed. But then, if it is fixed, it'll stop those people from entering the competition for obvious reasons.

So, I can't offer a new system this season. When this season gets over, we'll have public discussions on it and will hopefully have an alltogether different voting system in Season 3.

They can still take part but not vote for themselves. Thats what I think.

Well, as I said before, It'll be too confusing to have a new voting system when the season is nearing its end. So the voting system remains as it is for this season.

The new voting system will be implemented from the next season i.e Season 3. As this season gets over we'll choose 5 people as a panel who give points to the entries except their own. Then these points will be added up and the entry with the maximum points wins the competition. These all things will be done confidentially.

TBH this is like the worst way of voting. Through a poll system... really?

This is how I would do it. Let everyone vote, but make a seperate voting thread. Then paste the entries there. Then everyone votes for their entry, but they also have to state reasons to why they voted for that piece. If the reason does not meet up to the standards which have been set, then that vote will not be valid. Also to keep things clea and tidy, after every vote, make a little Scoreboard like this.

Entry 1- 2 (Votes)
Entry 2- 1
Entry 3- 1
Everyone Else- 0

Now if an entry like Entry 10 gets a vote then you add it to the scoreboard.

There should always be a reason someone gets a vote. Not just selecting it from a poll. For example this would be a valid vote.

"I like this piece because the render blends in better than the others. The colours used also match the render and add more to the piece. The text is also well placed and the font suits the feel of the sig"

This vote would be counted, as there are valid reasons to why that one piece is better. A vote like this one however will not be counted.

No reasons at all provided. This vote cannot be taken seriously.

I am going to dissapoint you. We DID have this kind of voting previously. We had separate threads for entries, discussions, voting. This lead to a huge amount of a mess and we finally came down to one thread.

We are planning to upgrade the voting system and not trying to degrade it.

As, I said we'll be having a new system from the next season. So things should definately improve.

As long as you have a poll system, don't expect things to improve. I could have my Cousin Sal join and vote for me, and you guys couldn't do anything about it. That's just one of the flaws. But it's your "job" or whatever. Do as you please.

The new system we've found out will surely help the situation to improve. But, for that we need time to select a panel, which I solely can't decide. We'll see how the voting goes this time, if the situation still remains as bad as it was last week, I might implement the new voting system next week. If the situation improves this week, I'll implement it in the next season.

So yes, we'll surely have a change wether sooner or later.
