The problem with the competition is that we need judges who have had past experience with graphics, otherwise we can get results such as this.

In contrast, it's like trying to score a surfer (Without any past experience) with someone else scoring the same surfer (Though this judge has had past experience). Obviously the result will differ.

All panel members except WHM are the best GFX makers around here. We've added WHM as he is a senior member of this site. He has also helped us with lots of stuff regarding the competition.

I'd like to add Domiw, Mukund, Ivandm (sp?) and usy to that list, but shame they are'nt active anymore or have been banned (usy).

Well,we already have the 'so called' experienced judges.
Maybe some of them are way too experienced to judge a competition as low as this.:sarcasm

Im happy with this system and its the only better system atm.They will be some demerits in any system.We need to move on from this issue.

System is better than public poll. But there should be four judges at least. Not two like the past week's...

We had problems last week. The main reason was that of the server downtime. I personally asked WHM not to vote as he was really busy fixing the forum.

Yeah... I tried to come, but the site wouldn't load. I'll definitely give rates this week though.

woohoho, Guess you landed your post wrong!

Matt is a very good graphics maker, well to say the least. He didn't start a thread, but has jolly good knowledge about graphics.

Domiw, mukund if active, and Ivan are great choices, they've all done a fair amount of R&D to widen their knowledge.

Yeah. I remember him judging the very first week of PCGMOTW last season. Though, we had public votes that time. He appeared to be very good in graphics.

I've been getting many PMs lately about people asking me about Black and White sigs.

So I thought I'd post it here instead of replying to each and every PM.

In the above examples, only B is regarded as Black and white. Rest are not regarded as black and white.

Also remember, all desaturated sigs are black and white but the reverse may not be true.

I'll be posting the entries tomorrow morning IST time because I might have to go somwhere later in the day. If I do go, i'll be away till thursday. Though, nothing is final yet and I have more chances of not going.

But still, to be on a safer side, I'll be posting the entries tomorrow moring. (i.e about 10 hours from now.)

To be fair, if I receive any entry before 12:00 am GMT, I'll put that up later. As there are no public votes, I'll be able to ask the Panel members to rate that particular entry easily.
