This is the PC (as in Personal Computer, not Planet Cricket) matchmaking thread mate - probably not the best place to ask



Yeah - you can get up to around the 100mph if your fast bowler is high on confidence and you get in the yellow area of the meter.


Yep - it's explained in the tutorials (which are worth doing, not just for the stadiums). When you press a button to start the bowlers run up that just decides what marker it shows on the pitch to you and your opponent (i.e. straight arrow or direction of cut, spin or swing). The actual delivery you bowl is decided by the button you press when you stop the meter.

For example, as I described earlier, I was particularly happy with my use of that with Cameron White where, against a RH SA batsmen I pretended to bowl a leg spinner moving spinning outside off, but instead threw in the arm ball and clipped the top of his off stump

Oh no i know how to do that, i meant that he was putting the marker on say outside off, leaving it still but when he actually bowled it was a yorker on middle and leg without the marker actually moving?

You can only bluff the delivery type, not the line or length

Oh right, well that's what was happening with you and Johnson!! Rest assured that I WAS moving the marker in the last couple of seconds, but it appeared to be snapping across rather than gliding as it should. Probably a bit of lag I reckon.

Just played a cracking game online against someone called Oxtar (not sure of spelling). Sorry that i don't have screenshots. Anyway He was playing as SAF and myself AUS. 20 over game MCG. He batted first and after being 81 for 0 off 6 overs( i thought he would end up 240+) I dragged it back and bowled him out for 134 off 14 overs.

In my innings I had such a solid start with Watson first out for a quick fire 30 odd followed by Warner for 40 odd. Anyway I was cruising around 100 for 2 with 2 'in' batsmen of Ponting and Hussey only needing around 4.5 an over. Thinking to myself this is a well paced chase. However I lost ponting run out for 40 odd with a direct hit from mid off then M.Hussey was out to to a cracking ball that straightened and was caught behind. Clarke came in to bat with a timid rating (after being hit all around the park when bowling) and he soon followed as he couldn't get the ball off the square and I then panicked losing a glut of wickets with some suicide running.

Anyway it went Down to last over -I needed 8 runs with 2 wickets left.
- first 2 balls dots - straight to fielders I think.
- Then I got run out the next so 8 runs off 3 balls with one wicket left.
- next ball a single - 7 runs of 2balls and boundaries needed
- Then next ball....wait for it...... he bowled a no-ball!! Which I dispatched to the boundary for 4 and at which point I nearly fell of my chair laughing!!:laugh Thinking free hit next up...game won..
-Free hit bowled - I edged into my pads :doh so last ball 2 needed to win one to draw....
- Last ball was yorker and I didn't time(damm tailenders) and it went behind to keeper.. I went for the run hoping the keeper would miss the direct hit but unfortunately Boucher managed to hit the stumps and the game was over and I lost by 1 run :crying .....

I managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on the search for my 1st online win..
Epic game though I loved the way it swayed from one team to the other.. although I should of cruised to a win, it amazing once you lose a few set batsmen what a change it makes, and once I lost wickets I really panicked - still really enjoyed it - well played Oxtar.

Sounds like it was a great game mate, just goes to show that its vital to keep picking up the singles. I'm sure your first win is just around the corner.

I think your net is not helping as it is below the minimum requirements.
