Is it easier to play normal shots through the offside without the risk of edging, or you still have to rely on pressing both triggers (aggressive ground shot) to avoid edges?

i would say edging has reduced compared to before these patches in legend with the limited matches i have played, that said i have not relied on triggers before these patches too, if you can show a bit of restraint and pick deliveries offide play was pretty playable and enjoyable. i always found pressing both triggers abit of hassle and easy to lob one to fielders and that risk for me always felt more than edging one behind.
 
No there has been difference in the gameplay after 1.15.4 patch...Are you telling for casual match??
I'm surprised that no one other than me feel the gameplay has changed even a bit...

@BigAntStudios :I know its not possible to discuss about this but LIKE the post if such changes are made...

I am playing under the reduced skills experiment but I would say AI running is the only positive change.

The 1.15.x changes have made slips redundant again - had plenty of keeper catches since the updates, I can't recall a slips catch.

Playing yesterday under 1.15.3 I had two edges to keeper that looked great, real edges off defensive prods. Today under 1.15.4 I've had 3 crap edges top edging cuts - this was a mode of dismissal I have literally not seen since changing the skills.

Very disappointed.

Signed up only to say (and I've seen a few others mention it), being able to sim from the non strikers end in career mode was the best addition they ever made to the game for me. But now having to sim every ball has ruined it. Pleeeeeease change it back.

i'm still getting edges, but edges to slip have disappeared and bad edges are creeping in.

i'm playing on a crumbling pitch, a two day FC game SAB English XI vs South Africa Colts with the stats as per my latest post in the other thread. I dismissed them for 237/10 in 69.4 overs: 3 bowled, 1 caught deep mid-on, 6 caught behind. the caught behinds were two defensive prods (of which I posted video yesterday) and came under 1.15.3 - under 1.15.4 I got 3 top-edged cuts and an outside edge driving the spinner out of the rough (definitely a "good" edge).

i haven't played enough under the patches to be certain - Big Ant haven't confirmed any AI changes so it could be coincidence, but my overall impression at the moment is that there have been minor changes, and they aren't positive in terms of the gameplay results I'm getting.
 
i played pro and veteran.before this update i got many edges behind like keeper,first slip third slip and sometimes gully at pro level,every match i got minimum 3 wickets at behind the stumps,but after this update i got wickets rarely behind stumps by keeper only,other wickets i got mid off and mid on and other areas of deep,SO, NEED IMPROVEMENT IN EDGES BEHIND STUMPS PARTICULARLY IN SLIPS when human bowling,A1 leaving the ball in free hit,ROSS need to look this problem,final overs a1 need improvement in aggressive when wickets in hand

positive things in update is running between wickets both a1 and human is good now,now human a1 and human both play quick singles is amazing,fielders catching is looking real now[before always they will dive and in air to catch[
a1 plays aggressive shots then before and chasing well and building partnership

I wonder if they worked on the skills themselves. Maybe try and use the original skills and test.
 
I have bowled spinners more after the patch as the career player is a spinner, but in the 1 or 2 co-op matches I have played edges to slips were there though only 1 or 2 but considering it was F5 matches it was good enough...If you are talking about casual offline matches I have not played that...

it's a tour match, 1 vs AI. it has definitely deteriorated post-patches, slips are purely decorative again.
 
Version 1.15.6 is now live (yes we skipped a number as we had two updates set for today that we ended up rolling into one!)

Update Notes are as follows:

- Added 2 Vs 2 Online Co-op.
- Added 2 Vs 1 Online Co-op.
- Added up to 2 Vs 2 Local Co-op.
- Corrected career simulation simulating one ball.
- Resolved sound effects in practice nets.

hi updated to 1.15.6 i dont see any 2 vs 2 option only 2 vs a1. please explain the process how to play 2 vs 2 or where s that option hidden. same goes for stimulation bug .it automatically resume cant stimulate whole inings while bowling in career mode[/QUOTE]
