1. Dots
a) close calls
And I don't think anyone in this stadium can believe that has missed both the edge and the stumps. Great ball from {bowler}
In comes {bowler} and, would you believe it, the ball has darted past the outside edge again.
{striker} can't be feeling too comfortable out there, this is quite a spell so far... And he's escaped once more, {striker} clearly ate his Lucky Charms for breakfast this morning.
{bowler} is probably ready to give up, as another ball screams past the outside edge.
{bowlingside}'s groans tell the whole story, it's still only a dot ball.
{nonstriker} is coming down the track to talk to {striker}, and with good reason, too, that one has just beaten him all ends up.
b) standard dot balls
{striker} is a lucky boy after that one; the ball fizzed past his eyes, great bouncer.
{striker} is being very obsinate here, that's another defensive shot.
{striker} shoulders arms there.
The {battingteam}'s innings is slowing somewhat, that's a dot ball.
Once more, that's a dot.
The staunch defence of {striker} has some of the press up here mumuring their approval. Me? I want him to give it a ride!
I don't think I've seen anything this dull, and I've sat through more than my fair share of chick flicks.
2. Ones
{striker} & {nonstriker} scamper a single, good running.
{fielder}'s throw to {bowlingteam:keeper} isn't in time, and the run is completed with moderate ease.
That throw has {nonstriker} stretched out to make his ground, great effort there.
For some reason, they didn't take a 2 there.
One to the ring, they'll take that every day of the week.
Confusion between the batsmen there, but {striker} makes his ground in the end.
3. Twos
A quickly run first has made two possible, great running.
"Run 'em up!" is the cry as the ball dribbles away, {fielder} had to move about 15 yards to his left to field that one.
Two runs taken to long on, that was a good descision to take on {fielder}'s arm.
That ball is hit high, very high. It lands 10 yards inside the boundary, and doesn't roll, 2 taken.
Do some more in a bit.
