[PCCL 2010] Feedback Thread

The simulator dynamically chooses bowler to bowl--it doesn't have a preset line-up determined. This makes more sense than a situation where someone going at 10-12 runs per over keeps bowling just because the line-up has been set as such.

The issue is that the formula used to calculate who should bowl does not take into account the fact that you have to bowl alternate overs. When you think of that, it obviously becomes more complicated to program.

Finally I'd like to point out that in the entire 2010 Twenty20 World Cup, only 7 times did sides use only 5 bowlers to complete their twenty overs. That's in 27 matches (potentially 54 innings). So, at least in Twenty20, it is far more likely that teams go in with an all-rounder or two.

Sohum there is a problem with the bowling averages on the stats. For example Meet has taken 3 wickets for 12 runs and yet his average is at 4.33. They seem to be all wrong.

I think you're mixing up the balls column as runs. Runs isn't a column in the bowling stats, for some reason.

The link isn't live' yet as you will find with a few others as the site isn't finished.

ahh. ok. So it will have the leaders and stuff? Leading run scorer, wicket taker?

I guess sohum said somewhere that he has copy paste cricinfo style which doesn't have runs column.

Ya, I knew that. But I was looking for a whole league stats

Why would there be whole league stats when we havent started yet?

Preseason stats? :D

But no, I was wondering if there will be one..

There are pre-season stats. Go to Tournaments and click on Pre-season Tournament. Then click the Statistics tab.
