PCPL - Discussion Thread (All Owners READ!!)

All that info is already available in the pinned thread in the bidding forum.
As for it taking a long time that's inevitable with 32 players for auction. We had half as many last season.

Also at the end of the bidding process, and all funds collected, are we going to get some kind of details of the total collected and status of funds?? How it is intended to be used etc....???

I need some money for my gambling addiction, hehe.

Here's our new logo, incase you haven't noticed yet. :) Courtesy Mukund, I personally think this is fantastic!

Man D are in desperate need for a logo too. My own best effort fell a little short of Mukund's quality :p

Question:

There was a period of 32 hours of no bidding between our bid of 300k and Beijing's bid of 320k. Am I missing something or should we have won that? I didn't see anything in the bidding rules about a reserve.

Sorry I was referring to the bidding on Haddin. The bidding is still going on even though I thought we should've won it when it was at 300k. Pretty sure I'm not reading the timestamps wrong.

Gimme a second, i'll check that one, possibly because of the downtime, it all got mixed up. Give me 5 minutes and i'll be in with an answer.

Simbazz added 4 Minutes and 42 Seconds later...

Usman, you are indeed correct, BUT if I remember we had a lot of downtime. Keep you bidding going, i'll consult with Colin about when the downtime was.

If we see that downtime played a part in it, then it will remain open. If there isn't an excuse of downtime there, then you will be rewarded him for 300k.

Is that ok?

Yeah that's fine, but I'd try and resolve it ASAP if I were you. It'd be a whole new can of worms if someone else wins him and there wasn't a massive amount of downtime.

Looking at the traffic charts there was a fairly substantial block of downtime. Rather than trying to wind back the clock on this one we're going to accept the BB bid and bidding continues (with 600k Sydney being the lead bid).
