PCPL General Discussion

He doesn’t have time for a team whose name sounds like a bargain bin.

Seriously, I don’t know maybe it’s a test run for Swirler, if the slipper fits and so on…

And I have been a bit busy from the past 2 days and so haven't been able to post the matches. I have them simmed but not able to post them atm.

Suggestion : With all due respect to all of the PCPL simmers.. this is merely a suggestion...
We all know you all have personal lives.. perhaps work and family responsibility don't always allow you guys to be as active as you'd like to be...
Would it be possible to share the workload in simming the different formats?
Perhaps saving stats etc. on cloud services... for others to access and download...
The reason I'm making this suggestion is mainly the turnover time on posting matches, simming and posting first innings and second innings etc. takes way to long... in my opinion...
This suggestion is not to criticize... it's just a suggestion to try and improve the flow..
Perhaps some simmers have more time on their hands on some weeks than others... or if the work load is too intense between normal duties etc add another up and coming simmer...
Again guys it's just a suggestion... you guys are great.. putting your time & passion in for the love of the game is honestly admirable.
Best wishes!

I agree with the above, it's no slight on anyone, I think running 3 competitions as large-scale as they are is waaaaaay too much effort for so few people to undertake. I would prefer a faster-turnaround 1 format PCPL competition. Broken into different formats across the year. Start with a T20 competition, then an ODI and then finally a Test format. That also allows 3 different times where you can recruit and discard players as well, refreshing the competition and keeping those that want to be involved.

It's bottle-necking at the moment, be good to have a shared pool of resources that senior team members can access and sim accordingly.

Everyone has a personal life, shit gets in the way. It's no drama... Spreading the load makes it fun for more people and keeps stuff fresh and people active. I think across all teams you'd be lucky if there were 20 people regularly active now, which is a shame.

Yup we have been doing behind the scene work for the next PCPL and we have made a lot of progress. We are nearly at the end stages of this one so it should not matter much now. But from the next season onwards, it is going to be different and much better. One format at a time and making it continuous are some of the things we are going to do.

We're working on something to address these issues. This season is nearly over, and we should ideally continue the way it is, but rest assured, next season onwards, things are going to be much different, much better.[DOUBLEPOST=1455255791][/DOUBLEPOST]Edit: User and myself echo the same thoughts. I'll just ask a thing, is there any spot for adding new people to sim?

Would you really want the suspicion it would bring, if the Amigos started winning games?;)
Not really, ;) As T20 is the Format named for Landscape, one would be named for the Amigos. ;)

*Just Kidding, I know @User2010 is doing a great job and I'll be loyal enough to the management if they give me a chance.
