Hi there, as you know, I'm an actor/singer about to go for drama school again. I've found a new tutor who I think will be really helpful. Are any of you guys in the 'biz' or training to be?

I thought I'd open this thread as I don't want to hijack the 'A Levels' thread!

My GF does this alongside Photography or whatever the hell its called now,

Seems like a very hands on thing at college, not sure what she does, maybe i should take more interest?

Anyways shes in a drama group outside of college and she enjoys it,

Only problem is, is im expected to go watch plays etc.

My older sister went to RADA just after she'd finished her A-Levels for an audience and they said they'd have her 3 years later because they mostly accpet 21 year olds because of Life experience. Needless to say after something as big as that, my Sister finished her degree and decided not to go into acting.

since childhood, i wanted to be an actor....
in india even though there is a huge market for films and is 2nd after hollywood in the world, if you tell someone that you want to be an actor, they'll
either laugh their asses off or heavily criticize you for wasting time, money
and energy.

you'll hardly get any motivation here...but still its what i wish to do..

and to get into an acting school here....more so than the talent....you need to have a VERY HIGH PROFILE influence...or your chances are almost NIL..

its called pornography you definately should take more of an interest and i wouldn't sorry about those "plays" I'm sure you'll enjoy them a lot

My mate does it. Obviously all the gay jokes go towards him, but the fact is I wanted to do it as well but there were no places left. Very popular subject where I am.

That sort of attitude from people outside the industry really annoys me. If everyone thought like that, there'd be no actors at all! You go for it, amigo and break a leg!

It is true that a lot of actors are gay, but I'm not one of them. I'm one hundred percent heterosexual. I have nothing against it (some of my friends are gay), it's just not my thing!

But I always want to be a Bad guy in movies
