Hi friends :)

Though there have been many threads which are concerned to world's best 11 and World Best Test Teams etc. But here is another one of that sort which is bit similar but has its own uniqueness.

Pick out your Top fiver in different categories of Cricket.

Kindly Pick those whom you have seen playing in your own era. Please dont add players like Don Bradman and Viv Richards as most of us havent seen them and they are undisputable in master class. Only Induct players you have watched yourself playing.

My list may got mixed ODI Test players because I am seeing class not the format.

Of whom I've seen...and trust me, there is some bias here

Batsmen:
Sachin
Dravid
Lara
ABDV in the last couple of years
VVS

Haven't seen too much of Ponting, and I value VVS's back-to-the-wall heroics far more that actual runs scored. Plus he's nice to watch. ABDV has looked like a beast last few years - big hitting, near perfect technique, fast between the wickets, capable of innovative shots. I think he's gonna dominate in the next couple of years. Dravid was fantastic, I loved his defensive technical style. Grinding bowlers into submission, with the odd glorious stroke. Wonderful. Lara was a genius on form, easily the most entertaining I've seen, and Sachin is the perfect batsman really.

Bowlers:
Warne
Wasim
Murali
Steyn
McGrath

Steyn another future great in the making, was so brilliant in the last year or so. Amazing to watch. Warne and Murali need to explanations, geniuses, and Wasim made me wish I was a left-hander so I could try to emulate him. McGrath was the perfect bowler in that he could land the ball wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and had an amazing brain. The way he picked out tiny technical flaws, nagged at a batsman and worked them over was so brilliant.

Batsmen:

Laxman
MoYo (2006)
ABDV

Amla (2010)
