Well there are over a billion more people in India, so it's obvious they'll have more dishes

Don't get me wrong when I say this (I really like Indian food) but you may have millions of dishes, but only because you give names to every single variant. To the point that when you go in an Indian restaurant the waiters feel the need to tell you what every dish is in case you don't recognise it! We call a beef stew a beef stew, no matter what else goes in it. (Ok, so it might be called a casserole). :p

hehehe.....but each one tastes differently !!!
e.g...we have loads of dishes in PANEER(Cottage cheese(?))...
the ones i remember right now are :-

paneer tikka masala(Gravy)
paneer tikka(Dry)
paneer butter masala
paneer makhani
paneer burji
Paneer Jalfrezi
paneer korma
paneer pasanda
paneer paratha
palak paneer
shahi paneer
kadai paneer

same goes for non-veg dishes.....e.g chicken has.......

Butter chicken
Chicken 65
Moghlai chicken
Tandoori chicken
chicken korma
chicken jalfrezi
Murgh tikka haryali
chicken biriyani

and each one is prepared differently :D

I have no problem with winning. Although I really like both Italian and Indian, nothing beats Roast Beef with Yorkshire puddings, veg and gravy. Fish and Chips are also lovely, cottage pie, shepards pie, cornish pasties, the full english breakfast - I could go on. Maybe a little plainer than foreign foods, but if it tastes good, who cares?

The lines can also be a little fuzzy with Indian - I believe England is a net exporter of curry to India.

Yeh, Indians can't make it properly. So we send it out to them...;)

I think FreddieFan must be thinking of an ingredient that we export to India that is used in Curries. God knows what that could be though. Cider? ;)

Probably because they stole it all when they left. :D

We thought they were weapons of mass destruction.

Considering how much damage a spicy curry does to you, we were right.

Why does some salad have ham? Ham doesnt have anything to do with salad.

A salad isn't restricted to just vegetables. It usually has vegetables and/or fruits but can also have a variety of meats and dressings.

Take a chicken salad, for instance.

I dont like anything in my salad like chicken etc. Salad is veg/fruits and thats it as i have chicken and something else on the other side of the plate.
