A system like that would be a little awkward to put in place. Some seasons there may be no promotions or relegations, or because there are lots of promotions div 1 could become massive. Its a little awkward...

In the original system, he had a few to compete with...what I actually was trying to say, was that it would take a few seasons for the original table to look something like the one I'm proposing anyway. In this process, there would be less and less competition between the top of Div 2 and the bottom of Div 1 (who, I forgot to say, would be getting pretty bored with being thrashed).
I'm just saying, skip this process and start it off like that.
I understand what you are all saying, but as has been said before, if we were to change to the tables you suggested, the same teams would be coming up and going down each year, it would turn in to the same inevitable thing each year, which im sure each of us would become bored with as well each season.

It has been split like this in order to give the lesser teams a good chance as well, i know a lot of you will say that wont happen, but how do you know if you dont try it, at least this format gives everyone a chance, whereas in the other format only certain teams would have a fighting chance in the upper league.

The format will not change.

You still lost to Briggs in the 3rd/4th place match Pak Cricketer! That was when you were back!

Well, I tried :) . But we'll have a go with this. I think you have thought long enough about this, so will give it a go.

That was a fluke :p
No, that was me out thinking you! :)

You had lost most of your games up to that point on green pitches, especially away from home, so I went with that strategy and look how well it worked ;)

There you go everyone, thats how to beat The Falcons :p

Well we have had a discussion about it, and I have also thought for a while on how to do it, and this was the best way to make it fairer for everyone, rather than just seperating everyone dependant on how good or bad they are.

So why haven't the Preston Pansies entered? Are they too scared of being upstaged by the likes of Briggs?

I already have signed up. but it seems that matches are not gonna start this week!
can I arrange friendly this week with anyother team ??
what are the possible dates of start of the event ?

Are we using a points system, including bonus points? I think we should.

12 teams each division for the first season. At the end of the season we put the top 6 teams poitn wise into one division, and the rest in another. Next season we do the same. Helps reward teams who put up a fight too.

Right, here are the details!

There will be 2 leagues of 12 teams. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Promotion and Relegation will be 3 up, 3 down. The relegated teams go straight down. The top 2 teams from Division 2 go straight up. The teams in 3rd to 6th play a playoff match, 3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th. The winners of those games play each other and the winner is promoted. At the same time as that, in division 1 1st to 4th will have a playoff to decide to Champion. 1st v 4th, 2nd v 3rd. The winners play each other for the championship. The 1st places team in division 1 will still be counted as league champions.

To decide the divisions, we took the rankings table and split it in half. The top 12 are the higher ranked teams and the bottom 12 (including unranked teams) are the low ranked teams. We then randomly drew 6 teams from each section to be in each division. This is so each division has an interesting mix of teams and the promotions and relegation arnt predictable. Here are the divisions for the 1st season. The teams who were put in each league as a high ranked team are in bold.

Division 1 - Run by The Spin:
The Falcons
Everton
Pakistani Pingers
Rabbitohs
Bushwackers
Cricket Geniuses

Spinners United CCC
Pakistani Legend
WeWak All-Stars

Division 2 - Run by Briggsey:
Briggs Bullets
Hasis Legends
TT Lions
Old Wulfs
Antigua All-Stars
Borncricketers XI

Challengers XI
Assasins XI
