Their should be points allocated for making the national team, otherwise I'd rather not be selected for England if I'm only moving down the MVP list.

Yeah I might have a national MVP just for our players, and then add them up at the end.
This will make it more fair, as people would then be able to continue to score points while playing international cricket.

I'm a wicket taking machine and i always seem to be the one to get the last wicket. Congrats to a cricketer for that marvellous century. good write up CG kutgw

Shuttup boy, it would`ve helped if you didnt give CG123 cyber-cash to set me on max aggression. It was rigged, i`m tellin ya, it was! Bloody cheats. I`m God, and God doesnt fail. Now, take the alcohol off me before i go crazy and go watch gay porn.

Playing XI

Callum Gray has made just one change to the side that beat Glamorgan yesterday. That sees L. Dias make way for fellow fast bowler D. Veza. P. Raj will retain the captaincy, as he is easily the most experienced player in the side.

Essex Playing XI

Essex look to have a side comprising of experience and youth. Player's like Chopra, Brown, Foster and Napier have been around a long time, so should provide good assistance to some of their younger batsmen and bowlers. They may not of realized it when naming their team, but they look to be one bowler short.

Playing Conditions

Toss

The PlanetCricket County has won the toss and P. Raj has elected to have a bat. The pitch really does look to be a batsman's paradise, and the overhead conditions will also offer no assistance to the bowlers.

We have this in the bag. Essex come in with 4 bowlers on a batting wicket, what fools!

PlanetCricket Avoid An Embarrassing Defeat

Match Summary

The PlanetCricket County have avoiding an embarrassing defeat, with their bowlers coming to the rescue defending a very gettable total.

It was really a batting day to forget for the PlanetCricket County. The ball just wasn't coming out of the middle of the bat in the later over's, not allowing them to up the run rate at all. All of their batsmen got starts including three fifties, but when they tried to up their scoring rate they just perished. Essex bowled good defensive lines not looking to take wickets, rather just contempt with drying up the runs on a near perfect batting track. A. Shreyas a usually aggressive batsman, top scored with 77 off 105 deliveries fpr PlanetCricket. With the Essex bowling their were no real stand outs, they were all reasonably consistent.

Essex came out chasing what looked to be a small total on such a good pitch. They got the perfect start when Digweed and Chopra brought up their fifty partnership in no time. P. Raj made a bowling change bringing B. Gutteridge at first change and that immediately worked a treat. He clean bowled Chopra before getting on a hat trick next ball. Essex continued to chip away at the total, but G. Pickering was just bowling so well that he didn't allow them to form any more partnerships. He took four key middle order wickets, not allowing them to get back in the game. A late K. Parris cameo gave Essex some hope, but when T. Lerana picked up the last two wickets in consecutive balls the match was over.

Man of the Match was again an easy choice, going to G. Pickering. In his spell of 10 over's, he took 4 for 30. The PlanetCricket County in the end got home by a pretty small margin, of just 29 runs.

My View

With the bat I thought we were about 70 runs short of where we should of been. In the later over's we were just struggling to find the fence, and the loss of A. Shreyas with about five over's left never helped. In contrast, our bowlers were just outstanding. I though we weren't going to get home at one stage, but G. Pickering was just legendary. He along with B. Blake slowed their scoring completely, until Blake's final over where he went for well over 10 ruining his figures. A very satisfying win in the end.
