Story PlanetCricket County - [Sorry For The Delay.. It's My Last Week Of Exams.. Will Resume In Late NOV!]

Yo CG, seeing as I am an all-rounder, do you reckon it's possible for me to bowl more than three overs in an entire first class match? :laugh :D

Keep up the story, it's going great, even if I am a dud.. :(

Yeah I no. It's just you are more off a partnership breaker, and in that match no partnership's really formed that needed braking. :p
I will make more of an effort next time to give you a bowl. :)
And I'll tell you again your not a dud, or you wouldn't be in the squad... ;)

wow I actually made the One Day Bowling rankings Thats Incredible. Nice Work Mate kutgw

great work so far CG

I Should be in the England team after my performances so far, top of MVP by 15 points:banana2

Back from oversea league only to find I've been called up for internationals :doh

I know what team you have taken over now.

It doesn't really matter that much now. It was more for at the beginning, so people didn't know what players they were picking.
If you want you can PM me it, and I'll tell you if it's right.

Playing XI

2ndodmatch.png

P. Raj and T. Lerana have returned from the overseas league, and will both play immediately. Raj will come into the side form newly named player O. Holden, he will also take over the captaincy. All-rounder T. Lerana will come into the side in place of batting all-rounder N. Shah. The other change sees L. Dias come in for fellow pace bowler C. Bosnich, who was called up for England duty. The only two players now yet to play a game for the county are, opening batsmen G. Sim and pace bowler N. Marcell.

Glamorgan Playing XI

glam2ndodmatch.png

On paper Glamorgan look to have a very weak team. They have little depth in their batting, and will need to rely heavily on the experienced G. Rees at the top. Their bowling line up may lack penetration, with no big names in it.

Toss

Glamorgan has won the toss and they have elected to have a bowl. It was a rather surprising decision, with the sun is belting down on the ground. PlanetCricket captain P. Raj said he was happy they were batting, and they will look to put a total of 250 plus on the board.

Resilient Glamorgan Finally Give In

Match Summary

The PlanetCricket County continued their perfect start to the season, this time dispatching a resilient Glamorgan side by 51 runs.

Some great batting by A. Cricketer, P. Raj and A. Shreyas lead the PlanetCricket County up to a very imposing 292 for 6 off their 50 over's. A. Cricketer and P. Raj combined in an outstanding first wicket partnership of 144, before A. Shreyas joined the party moving them up to 236 for 1. PlanetCricket failed to capitalize in the last 10 over's, losing wickets at regular intervals and struggling to up their run rate. A. Cricketer top scored with 115 form 125 balls, while S. Travis was the pick of the Glamorgan bowlers, bowling 10 over's and only conceding 19 runs.

Glamorgan came out chasing an imposing total, but they didn't let the PlanetCricket bowlers settle. G. Rees the only player with a great deal of experience really took the game by the scruff of the neck blasting a well compiled 83, as he along with T. Mutch took them up to 138 for 1. In the end the immensity of the total was too much, as Glamorgan couldn't form any more partnerships. All the PlanetCricket bowlers took at least one wicket, but undoubted the pick of them was G. Aggarwal who took 2 for 29 off his 10 over's.

Man of the Match was an easy choice, going to A. Cricketer for his outstanding 115 at the top of the innings.

My View

I was a bit worried in the middle when their two batsmen were going. None of our bowlers really settled with the exception of G. Aggarwal, so not much can be taken into their figures. Yet again nothing can be read into B. Hedger, B Blake and T. Lerana who all came out just trying to slog from the get go, hence resulting in them getting out cheaply. With a game the very next day, I won't be looking to make a great deal of changes.
